Weeky Photo Challenge – Curves

Oh, how I love where I live.

These shots were from Dionne’s birthday picnic (last January) at McKinney Falls State Park Southeast of Austin, Texas.

These beautiful limestone falls have been carved by water over thousands of years. Another example of the peaceful power of water. It doesn’t fight, it just keeps on rolling, constantly, gently making its way.

Here’s to us all being more like water… less fight, more flow.

The water was low at this time but what a beautiful site we would have missed if it had been full. The graceful curves in the limestone created by the water is a wonderful reminder to let it all flow.McKinney Falls 2 McKinney Falls 6

Questions?

Full Pond in Spring

Dear Crystal,

I dunno, girl, I like to think that I am a practical kind of guy, and a lot of your essays on your website seem like so much new age happyspeak. How does this work for a business? By contrast, the ideas in ‘Built to Last’, my business bible, are fairly concrete.

Not that I am not open to new ideas. I have read a lot of philosophy, I used to be a Rosicrucian, and I am a zen. Not a zen follower or advocate, not a Buddhist, not a zen master, although I know the answers to all the zen questions that seem so silly to the man on the street (Why is a mouse when it spins? If a tree falls in the forest, etc.) and only zen masters understand my answers. I don’t waste my time anymore offering my answers to the uninitiated, because they don’t understand.

But, like Ghengis Khan, I do seek out new weapons for my arsenal of business all the time.

Can you make your ideas a little less nebulous. Or maybe I am just dense.

Regards,
John Doe

Dear John Doe,
I understand.
I don’t get the impression you are dense, just uninformed.

Addressing your “new age happy-speak” comment, it’s actually new physics. If it works and makes you happier and brings you more health, money, joy, peace and ease? What would you call it? It’s easy for people who don’t understand to make such assumptions.

We live in a vibrational universe. Period, end of story. Science has been proving and telling us more and more about it for around 100 years. The old Newtonian physics model of the world does not contain it all. I’ll save the science explanation for a session if you’re interested.

The bottom line is, things happen vibrationally first and physically second; not knowing or understanding this doesn’t make it not so. Everything ever created was first an idea in someones head before they gave it their focus, time and energy to create it. (We’re creating constantly… jobs that run smoothly OR ones where you lose your *ss)

We (humanity/society) have lived this way for a long time… under the impression someone else was in control of our world. That is not the case. The observer affects his own reality.

My ideas and techniques are concrete as well. Each session is different. Everyone is different.

It depends on how strongly you are entrenched in the old way of living in the world:

  • life sucks and then you die
  • life is hard
  • that’s just the way it is, hon (a favorite phrase of your old white men)
  • you have to work hard and toil to be worthy and deserving
  • struggle is honorable
  • if it’s easy it’s not worth anything
  • the best of life is behind us

If you recognize truth(and bullshit) in your heart when you hear it then you’ll have no trouble understanding everything I have to teach you.

I will give you insights and teach you practical tools to put you in control of your own life and business.

I will explain the role your emotions play in your life and teach you how to move through difficult situations with ease and grace (so things like this won’t happen again.)

Lost my *ss on our first project because my field leader stayed drunk and got us run off the job. I had to fly out at my own expense and finish the job for free. I think I redeemed my good name, but the damage from that one irresponsible individual continues to spread.

Most of the people I work with are already aware of these concepts and are interested in my perspective, energy and support. So, I thank you for offering me the opportunity to really think about someone who knows nothing about this and try to find a way to not only explain but help you understand it.

I find so much of the need for an explanation goes rather quickly once people experience what I’m talking about, then they know for themselves.

So again, in plain English…

  1. We talk on the phone for 45min-1hr.
  2. We first talk about what you want and where you’re experiencing frustration.
  3. I teach you techniques to relax and release stress physically in your body (holding onto this energy is what makes you ill)
  4. I give you insights into why your negative thoughts aren’t true and how they don’t serve you. (consistent negative focus is what creates the things you don’t want)
  5. I give you much better perspectives and teach you to soothe your busy mind when it gets going.
  6. My high vibration calls and trains your vibration upwards.

I’m also an empath and do energy healing, so maybe that will be shocking to you as well. But they are gifts that serve me well and make me excellent at what I do.

What I offer you works for your business because it works for your life. Everything works better when you learn and practice these principles. You hire/attract the right people and create an environment that is harmonious, efficient and productive.

I’m not here to pull teeth or shove anything down anyones throat. There is no pressure from me. You ask me how I could help your business and here it is.

Hope this helps.

Take care, John Doe.

Sincerely,
Crystal

PS…  Life is nebulous, until you squint your eyes and put your attention on something (wanted or unwanted), then you begin giving energy to it and lending to its creation. I help people create what they WANT rather than their current creations of some things they don’t want.

Say YES to the Mystery

Colorful Sky

  • What if you didn’t have to figure it all out? (You don’t.)
  • What if what you want also want’s you? (It does.)
  • What if you were supposed to relax into it, instead of working so hard to get it? (You are.)
  • What if there were inspired action to take that would make your physical “work” enjoyable? (There is.)
  • What if you could ask the right questions and receive the inspiration? (You can.)
  • What if you had someone to help you figure this all out? (You do.)

Life doesn’t have to be filled with drudgery. There is a way for you to get exactly what you want without you having to do that thing you hate to get it.

Of course, you have to do your part. But your part can be whatever you want it to be. We didn’t come into this world to struggle and be miserable. God wants us to be happy, healthy and abundant. We are supposed to enjoy this beautiful earth and everything in it.

This is your life.

Live it the way you want to.

This seems to be a major theme with folks these days and I’m so happy to hear it. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone did what they wanted to do and allowed everyone else to do the same.

At our Be Soothed and Uplifted Meetup on Monday night, every single person at the table described their situation as “in transition.” People are ready and willing to make the changes they want in their lives.

Many folks I’ve been talking to lately are tired of doing things the old way. (The way someone else wants it done.) People are ready to let it in. Ready to figure out this new way of living… for themselves.

That doesn’t mean you don’t care about other people. It means you care enough about them to be your best and happiest self. When we are truly happy, we spread that joy to others. You can’t help it.

When you are happy and fulfilled, you over-flow that powerful energy to all you encounter. You are now an agent for positive change without saying a word or lifting a finger.

Joy, peace, happiness and compassion are like a salve for a wounded world. We’ve lived too long in conflict within ourselves and outwardly in our environment and relationships.

Take a deep breath right now and realize that what you want is ok. You have every right to your own true hearts’ desires, whatever they may be.

And even more good news… you don’t have to figure it all out.

Think of all the unexpected blessings you have experienced in your life. Think of the seeming tragedies(in the moment) that blossomed into something wonderful you previously couldn’t have imagined.

Learn how to say YES and relax into the mystery. Trying to figure everything out ourselves is a long and difficult process. Relax into your current reality and say YES, I can have what I want and no, I don’t have to know exactly how it’s going to work out right now.

God (the Universe/Source) knows how to make it happen and is conspiring to create it for you. There is no such thing as missed opportunities. If this didn’t work out, something else will. There will be a next opportunity and a next opportunity. That’s the way it works.

Live is a never-ending series of adventures. Learn to go with the flow!

It’s simple, you just need support while you get started. I’m here to help.

Seeing you accepting and saying YES to the mystery. It comes with all sorts of perks!

Much Love to you,

Crystal

Many Blessings

Holly Fern Baby

In the wake of the shocking and upsetting incident in Boston, I am witnessing more and more of what I’ve been watching happen for a while now. The world is changing. People are reaching out and caring for one another.

I have seen infinitely more love and support than outrage. Not that outrage is wrong, it should be felt and moved through like all feelings. It’s just not productive to project it to the rest of the world. Of course the perpetrator/s will be discovered and justice will be served, but I prefer and appreciate the focus of so many people on the many blessings, the helpers.

I love how Abraham has shared with us that the people intimately involved in a tragedy actually deal with it better than those of us far away who don’t have the opportunity to physically help and be a part of the comforting and healing.

Many folks involved are thrilled to be alive and gain a fresh perspective on life. And while, yes, they may be injured, even to the point of loosing a limb, they recognize the gift they have been given. Life. Now.

As someone thousand’s of miles away that can’t physically jump in and begin to help, many can get stuck in their thinking about the upset and worry over what has happened or could happen. We want to do something. We want something done.

While our society greatly values physical action, your powerful, positive and loving thoughts do much more for the people of the tragedy than you might realize.

We live in a world of oscillating fields(we are them and they are everything… science lesson later) and when you hold the vision of health, happiness and harmony for others you are affecting their field. We can stand firmly where we are, hold the vision of peace, love, soothing and healing in our hearts and give that to the people directly affected by the tragedy and those many blessings, the precious helpers that were within reach this time.

Life is a roller coaster. Tragedy happens, right alongside heroism, compassion and kindness. Recognize the trouble and immediately throw yourself into the solution. Allow the moment you need to soothe yourself and then you can begin to soothe others.

You are much more powerful than you know. Shine your light and let’s wrap Boston and the tender human beings there in loving kindness, peace and hope.

The rain always clears and the sun always shines again.
Let that be your reminder to allow what is to pass so that what will be can come.

You are loved and cared for in ways you can’t imagine. Count your many blessings daily and be sure to count yourself as a blessing to others. You are.

Life is a Roller Coaster

Purple Star

My life completely turned upside down(fabulously!) in October. I was freshly on my own and wondering how it was all going to work out.  Financially supporting myself fully (without a “job” with a paycheck) for the first time in my life was nerve racking and exciting all at the same time.

It took months actually before I really realized how stuck I was in my thinking.

Years of doing things the way other people want them done can take a toll on you. You begin to think that someone else might actually know what you should do better than you. Wrong.

It took me a minute to get here, but here I am! Life is good and exciting and things are moving along nicely.

Creating the space for my success has been something I’ve been doing for a while now.  Allowing myself to move through the nervous/habitual energy when it comes up and not getting into some dramatic story of what’s happening and why and who is wrong or right. I let the energy move and it always works out.

Everything is always working out. Always.

The grip of “what’s going to happen” can be strong, but I always know it will work out. We humans do so love the drama.

And boy did it work out!

Today I have a small office in South Austin (by appointment only) and a thriving practice doing most of my sessions over the phone or via Skype. The money is coming, steadily and surely. I am now working with several businesses and many individuals creating great results.

I wrote a short eBook, 4 Tips for Living a Happy Life you can get for free by signing up for my Be Soothed and Uplifted newsletter or you may purchase it on Amazon Kindle. I’ve gotten great feed back which has spurred me on toward the completion of my next book in progress, Navigating Your Life.

A few months ago, I didn’t know how it was going to work or what it would look like. That amount of uncertainty leaves our minds all kinds of room for speculation and we do have a choice on which direction we speculate.

I did not fantasize about being broke or not being able to make it or having to get a “real job” that doesn’t burst my heart and make me happy. I didn’t freak out and call everyone telling them my problems and worries.

What I did do and still do(all day everyday) is allow myself to feel what I feel about everything and soothe my mind if it gets too busy over anything it thinks might need to be fixed.

I spend time doing the things I am inspired to do and feeling good about what I have done.

Things that show up, I deal with. Like when the heating element went out in my oven. I could have gotten upset and raised hell and complained about the “great timing”, but I didn’t.

What I did do was appreciate the opportunity to care for something that means a great deal to me and the people for whom I cook. I called a friend who knew about such things, got the part number and website to order it. When the part came in, the oven got pulled out, cleaned thoroughly, part replaced and something was cooked immediately.

My appreciation for my appliances and all of the things that make life so simple and easy is overwhelming. We’ve lived here for 10 years with no trouble so it was my pleasure to give some time and attention to the machine that has provided 1000’s of meals to family and friends.

Decide how you want to live your life and start moving that direction. Give yourself the soothing and support you need to live your best, easiest and most relaxed life. We didn’t come into this world to struggle for someone else’s wants, desires and wishes.

Give yourself a moment to think about what you want. What does your body tell you about those thoughts? Do you feel a “whatever dude!” in your stomach, or “not likely” in your chest. Maybe you feel that lump in your throat that says it’s not safe to express your own true self. Those “bad” feelings are a sign of beliefs you hold that don’t support you. The beauty is, once you realize this, the feelings can be felt, the energy moved and more supportive beliefs embraced.

A belief is just a thought you keep thinking, whether it’s true or not.

I’m here to tell you, enjoy the roller coaster, it’s all ok. And better than that, it’s great. Your true purpose in this life is to be happy; the feelings are showing you where to start. Those feelings in your body were never meant to stick around forever, they want to move and I can help.

Where in your body do you carry your nervous energy?
Heart/chest, stomach, jaw/throat?

Those feelings can move and when they do, you will feel relief and freedom. I’m here to help.

Much Love,
Crystal

Here’s To The New

Enjoy the unfolding of your life's path

Enjoy the unfolding of your life’s path

2012 has been quite an expansive year. Much of what came clear to me at the end of 2011 was expanded upon and my life has turned into something so absolutely wonderful, I couldn’t have previously imagined it. At this time last year I would never have thought I would be here today. And though the road here had some twists and turns (and more than a few bumps) I wouldn’t trade “here” for anything in the world.

We sometimes get confused thinking we live in a life/death world. What actually happens is life, death, and life again. Not the same as before, but life. And actually even better than before if you’re looking at it from the right perspective. Because as we experience the transition of one thing into another we learn and discover more and more about life and ourselves. We can learn what we’ll do differently next time and reflect on what we’re proud we did this time. We can learn how to handle ourselves in ways that are respectful to ourselves and others.

Life is the game we play our whole lives. Living, learning, growing and expanding. Understand the game and life is really easy.

Reflect today on your past year and appreciate everything that has worked out for you. (If you’re reading this from the physical plane things are going alright!) Allow yourself to feel through any regrets, sadness or frustration you’ve had. Take some deep breaths and appreciate what you learned from each situation that hurt or felt less than good.

If you can’t yet find the positive perspective, lightly set your intention to get there and let it go. Decide to be your own best friend and cheer leader. Support yourself mentally with kindness and compassion. This simple act will change your entire life.

The very idea of 2013 has my heart bursting. I was born on Friday the 13th, so 13 has always been my lucky number. 2013 is my year! I am filled with joy and excitement over what’s already here and what is on it’s way.

This is your year too. This is the year you will fully recognize and understand the point in this life is joy and begin to move easily and confidently in that direction.

You are meant to live an expansive, exhilarating, good-feeling experience. It was your plan when you made the decision to become focused in your physical body in this time-space reality. You were born knowing that you are a powerful Being; that you are good; that you are the creator of your experience, and that the Law of Attraction (the essence of that which is like unto itself, is drawn) is the basis of the Universe, and you knew it would serve you well. And so it has.

— Abraham

The Abraham quote this morning put me into a state of appreciation because I do know this is how life works. And it works quite well.

To the people I have worked with in 2012, Thank you! My life is richer because I know you. Helping you reach your ultimate goals of inner peace and freedom is one of my greatest pleasures.

To the folks I’ll work with in the coming year, your freedom is on it’s way, quicker and easier than you think. I can’t wait to share it with you.

Much appreciation for an excellent 2012 and even more anticipation for a successful and satisfying 2013. Here’s to the new. New year, new perspectives. Here’s to everyone recognizing their own inner genius, true ultimate freedom and complete power over their own lives.

Have a wonderful last day of 2012 and enjoy ringing in the New Year this evening.

See you next year!

Put Me In Coach

Beautiful PK Sunset

We took a road trip this weekend to the lake (Possum Kingdom Lake, in Texas). The sunsets are always beautiful. It’s a nice 4 hour drive. Far enough to make you feel like you’ve gone somewhere, but not so far that it takes up your whole weekend getting there and back.  While driving, we talk, sing or sit in peaceful silence.  It feels so good to really unwind and relax after a full week.

The song Centerfield, by John Fogerty came on. Clap. Clap. ClapClapClap. Clap. Clap. ClapClap. I was immediately taken back to my childhood, riding in my Daddy’s pickup truck windows down coming home from school, singing this song and realizing it was about baseball.  I smiled at myself and sang along. “Put me in coach, I’m ready to play today. Look at me, I can be, centerfield.”

I then thought of my days of playing basketball in high school.  Taking a breather on the bench and then being ready to jump back into the game. Watching the action and seeing what the other team is doing and realizing what the next move could be. Leaning down the bench and saying to Coach Courtney, “Put me in Coach, I’m ready to play”.

I miss that. Playing basketball on a team. The flow of the game.  The hard sprints, juking and defending, falling down and getting back up, passing the ball or taking the ball to the basket when it’s right. It’s a game and we play it with our friends and teammates.  Some of them are our best friends, but some we may not fully appreciate. (there is always something to appreciate) But the point is we are a team and our objective is doing our very best and hopefully the outcome will result in a win. (but if it doesn’t, the fact that we all did our best is a win)

I love that about sports. It brings all kinds of people together. Money, political party, social status (hilarious) or race all unimportant, we’re on the same team. And we ARE on the same team. The human team. It’s a really fun game to play when you don’t take things so seriously.

No matter what you are faced with, it’s not that bad. Certainly not as bad as your mind (and the news) might be telling you it is. Death is a transition back into the bliss of the non-physical. (for everyone) So, nothing to fear there. Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. When you can allow yourself to be with the pain for just a moment, it can go away. But our minds wrap us up in the story over why and how bad it is. This does nothing but perpetuate the situation. Bless our hearts.

Relax and breathe. Forget about the situation for a minute and let your self have a moment of peace. Feel what you feel and allow yourself to move through it. These feelings of upset and hurt don’t have to last forever. It’s only our mind that keeps bringing them back up and our inability to just sit and be with the feelings that doesn’t allow them to move on out. Like water off a ducks back… feel what you feel and move on. You can do it. Talking about or focusing on what you don’t want only creates more and more of that in your life.

If things don’t go the way you want, say, “Oh well, what’s my next move?” This is the game of life. Get up every morning, ready to play, ready to do your best at whatever you do. Ready to focus on what’s working and let go of what’s not. Great coaches don’t point out our shortcomings and then drone on about them, they point us in the direction we need to go. Guiding us toward what and where to focus to make our game better.

Let your awareness be that great coach. Let what you don’t want be an easy reminder that there’s something better to focus on. If you don’t want to be sick, focus on your health and all the ways you feel good and are healthy. Learn how to play the game. How many times have we heard that? Life is a game too, you know. You get to choose how you’re going to play in every moment. Are we going through Door #1 filled with fear and negativity, or will we choose Door #2 that is full of possibility, ease and potential. Your attitude and focus are everything.

Don’t let things that are out of your control ruin your here and now. Your life and how you feel everyday is what is truly important. We have full control over that with our focus and intention. Find the bright side and focus on it. A wise man once told me that life is 10% what God gives you and 90% what you make of it. (Thanks Daddy for starting me on the road to my enlightenment!) Attitude is everything.

What are you making of your life? Are you letting your own focus make you unhappy or letting situations outside of yourself determine how you feel? Are you listening to things that upset you and make you mad? Turn it off. Focus on what’s good in your life right now. No one has power over you. You are the creator of your own life through your focus and intention. Intend now to be happy. To allow energy to move freely, naturally. Intend to spend more time appreciating and less time criticizing. Soothe yourself in the quiet of your own mind. Tell the story of what you want and see what happens.

This can seem at first much easier said than done, but I am here to tell you that life is good and it only gets better. You can figure this out on your own, or you can get help if you need it. I’ve been there and am fully aware of all the tricks your mind (the devil) likes to play on you. I can soothe you and help you get a better perspective. There is always a better perspective. Recognize your own power in your life and embrace it. It may seem scary at first, but who better to determine your future than you. It can be whatever you want. It’s never too late and there is no such thing as a missed opportunity.

Get excited about life. You can be your own great coach, it just takes a little practice. Everyone starts somewhere and where you are is perfect. Abraham once said that behind every great athlete is a great coach that saw their potential before they were able to see it themselves.

And that person for you, is me.

I love you so much,

Crystal

Free At Last!

So much going on these days.  Energy is moving at an all time HIGH.  I feel things changing around me.  I wake most mornings feeling warm and fuzzy.  That is, unless it’s one of THOSE mornings.  Or my energy is moving faster than I am able to let it in.  Even those days are ok.  I recognize my resistance, acknowledge the movement, take a deep breath and thank heavens for my life and where I am in it.  I know that even in my pain, irritation, sadness or frustration, it is all energy and it’s all moving.

As I was trying to fall asleep the other night, my mind was running a mile a minute.  Most of it good and exciting, but I had a flash of a moment from my young adulthood I wasn’t particularly proud of or happy to remember.  At that moment, I began soothing myself.  Usually I’ll say “Stop It” or “Ok, thank you very much, next subject”, but this time it was different.

I first said I love you… bless your heart. I then started explaining to myself all the reasons everything is ok.  I told myself how I had found my way, and how things always worked out.  I told myself to look around at what had changed in my life and in the lives of the people around me.  I spoke sweetly, calmly and softly to myself.  Telling myself all the things I always wanted someone else to tell me.  Speaking the words of comfort that most comforted me.  Saying what I needed to hear, that only I know and understand.  My heart softened and utterly melted.  It felt so sweet and good.  I knew, I had found freedom.

It’s only our own minds that torture us.  So… YOU talk.  It’s crazy to me how we will stand idly by while our mind whips us and tortures us with past experiences, conversations or actions that are truly ancient history.  The only thing that keeps us attached to them is our mind.  A close friend of mine was struggling with her obsessive negative thoughts, I told her, “only one can talk at a time, so you do it, deliberately.”  Don’t just try to stop the negative thoughts, CULTIVATE the positive ones.  Just start talking to yourself, lovingly and soothingly until you don’t even remember what your mind was trying to scare you with!

If your monkey mind is giving you trouble, give this a try.  If you need to write out a script of sweet, loving, nurturing things to read in a tortured moment, do it.  Until you’re able to go with your Large Self and flow those loving words in the moment, have an alternate plan.

If you need help formulating an alternate plan, I’m happy to help.

Here’s to your Freedom!

So much Love to YOU,

Crystal

Money, Honey

What do we want? MONEY!  When do we want it? NOW!

Money. It’s what we want!  We need it, right?   To survive, to live, to eat, to thrive…?? Well, yes and no.  While it is useful to exchange for goods and services, we can’t eat it (gag) and money certainly can’t hold us when we are feeling vulnerable or need a hug.

We think we want money, but what we really want is what we think money will provide. Stability, security, freedom… get the picture?

While cash money is a fantastic tool that allows us to have the stuff we want and do things we want to do it isn’t necessary for our survival. At one point in history salt and chocolate were forms of money. Taking the life and death importance out of money can make it a little less scary when we find we need more in the bank than we currently have.

First, just breathe. Everything is always working out for you. (If you think it isn’t, think again!)

What is your relationship with money?

Do you love money or hate it? Do you think people that have money are “bad” or “smarter than the rest of us”? When out with family or friends, do you think the person with most money should pay for everything? Do you feel confident you’ll always be able to create or generate all the money you need? Do you feel like you’ll never make enough? Are you envious, jealous or even angry with people that have a lot of money? Do you actually have a bit of money but are constantly afraid of losing it or that someone will take it from you? Have you decided you’ll probably just live paycheck to paycheck for the rest of your life?

Think about your answers to the previous questions.  What beliefs did you just realize you have about money? Do they support you and make you feel good, or do they feel bad and scary or worrisome?

The way you feel right now, physically, in your body,
is the key to the amount of money you are currently creating in your reality
.

It’s not the economy, the current or past administration. It’s not your boss or family. It is only about the physical sensation you’re feeling right now as you’re thinking about and focusing on money. Is it in your stomach, heart or throat, perhaps? (It could be in your ear, elbow, knee, ankle or big toe!)

Notice how your body feels when you talk about money.  Does anything tense up?  Do you feel that nervous feeling in your stomach or a clinch in your chest? Does your mind jump on the scary roller coaster of trying to figure out how you’re going to make everything work?

These little signs are telling you how you feel about money. The great news is that from now on, you’ll have a bit more awareness of how your thoughts affect your body. Yay!

Feeling those feelings (the physical sensations in your body)
without thinking about why you are feeling them (I’m broke and have bills to pay)
will set you free.

I understand completely how scary our current reality can seem, but that fear is tied directly to the feelings in your body. It’s like having an oscillating fan plugged in and turned on high, unplug it from the electrical outlet and it stops. Let yourself feel those feelings and they will flow on through your body as intended. Feeling the feeling removes the “charge”. Then the whole situation is transformed. The perfect solution presents itself, a check shows up in the mail.  A friend or relative gifts you with the money or you create the space for your own financial abundance. The number of positive solutions to your situation is limitless, don’t trap yourself in the 1 or 2 terrible scenarios you keep playing over and over in your head.

Speaking of terrible scenarios playing over and over in your head… Your mind is going to automatically point out what’s wrong with everything and how it could be even worse. That way of thinking was imperative to our survival as cavemen needing to protect ourselves from real and present danger, but we are no longer in danger. (No matter what the news says!) Bless our negatively focused minds and our news media. Fortunately we have the freewill and power to change our focus. It takes a little effort and consistency, but is well worth it. We create with the power of our minds and our laser like focus. Make sure you are focused on what you want, not what’s gone wrong.

We have these feelings for a very good reason, after all. They are our guidance system. Everyone receives guidance from the Divine/God/Universal Intelligence, but not everyone knows how to hear it. Feelings are the key to this communication. Feelings that feel bad are telling you that the thoughts you are thinking are not in alignment with your larger, more expanded self. This doesn’t mean anything is bad or wrong, it just shows you that you are not seeing the situation as your Divine Self sees it.

After years of not allowing ourselves to fully feel, experience and let flow our feelings and emotions (because they can be painful), we’re like storage units full of old and useless crap we don’t need anymore, but still pay for.  Month after month, paying for stuff we don’t need or use. Except you’re not paying with money in this way, you’re paying with your energy, your health and your life experience.

Let yourself feel how you feel. Whether you need more money, a better job or a new relationship. Don’t resist anything. Just acknowledge your feelings and let them move.

Set your intention to get fully into your body so that you can, first, hear the information being given to you. And secondly, to begin navigating your life in a way that is easy, pleasing and fun. Life isn’t nearly as hard or scary as we’ve been lead to believe. Bless our hearts.  We know what we know and do the best we can.  When we know better we can do better.

No big changes to make, just an awareness to cultivate.

Feel what you feel. Recognize when you’re mind is taking you down a rocky road and choose a smoother path.

The evidence that shows up in your life will astound you.

Here’s to letting it be easy!  I can help.
Much Love,
Crystal

Stare At The Carrot

Don’t you just love it when you get a glimpse of the macrocosm in the microcosm? It is like watching the evolution of our species in the entire process between the first division of our single cell to the complete humans we become. Seeing the really big picture in a very small way or as ordinary part of everyday life.

Last night while fixing dinner, as usual, Oliver (pictured left) gets bites of the veggie being chopped, on this occasion, carrots. He knows it’s coming and waits patiently (or not) to receive them. Dionne tossed the carrots one by one, Oliver dutifully went after.

He missed one.

I stood looking at the carrot from my vantage point and seeing Oliver waiting expectantly in the kitchen, I told him the carrot was over there. (Looking at Oliver…) “Oliver, look over there. The carrot is over there.” (Pointing) Clap. Clap. Snap. “Hey! Oliver! Dude. Look over there!” Lord. This dog. (Actually, he’s a genius, but he does have his moments. I guess we all do. wink)

I looked over at the carrot laying on the rug. I heard, “Stare at the carrot”. It then occurred to me… Alecia Evans, my animal communicator friend says to communicate with your dogs/animals through visualization.  Duh. They get pictures from us. Yes, dogs can understand some words, but mainly they are taking the mental images we are projecting. In my head again, “STARE at the carrot.” OK!

So I thought, “Oliver the carrot is over there!” and I stared at the carrot. Not thinking anything, I just stared at the carrot.  After about 15 seconds Oliver jumped like someone had goosed him and went hot-steppin’ it into the living room. He sniffed around a couple of times and headed straight for the carrot.  Well, well, well.  Again, Duh.

Oliver Stares At Carrot

Keep staring at that carrot!

STARE at the carrot.

Before, I was looking at Oliver and telling him over and over again what I wanted him to know.  But what really worked was me staring directly at what I wanted him to see.  WOW!  Now that’s what I’m talking about people! Yes!  Practical applications in several areas.  I love when that happens. The universe brings us what we focus on. Period. No amount of calling, clapping, snapping and arm flailing makes what we want happen any faster than our pure focus and attention.

I know. I know. It’s not always easy to stare at the carrot. I hear ya. I really do. I’ve been feeling and moving through some big energy myself, and it ain’t all sunshine and roses. But, hear me now and believe me later. It’s all good! Energy is moving. You’ve got to let it move. You really can feel what you’re feeling and still keep your eye on that carrot. (If you can’t on your own, get sessions for help with your particular flavor of resistance!)

Let yourself have the time to really feel what you need to feel. (NOW! Recognize your mind is going to take you on a trip… yeah, yeah, yeah.  Been there, done that. I know what you’re doing. Thank you very much and let it go. The sooner you get bored with that busy mind the better. Then it can serve you rather than yank you around.) Spend some time getting into your body and finding where those feelings reside. Appreciate all of your lower emotions for letting you know you had this vibration going on and there is more power for you to reclaim. Yes! Thank you!

Don’t try to rush out of it. You are where you are and you feel what you feel. You are in the perfect place. Be OK with how you feel. Take the drama out of it. Let yourself really fully embrace that feeling, knowing that the slower and more deliberately you do this the faster it moves. When we try to skim the feeling or judge it, it only lasts longer or comes back later more powerfully. It will keep coming back until you appreciate it and allow it to flow freely on.

Find out what your carrot is (joy, health, vitality, expansion) and keep your eye on it.  If your mind is the problem, recognize it. The sooner you hear it, the sooner you can unhook from it.  Lightly set your intention to release all attachment to it’s endless chatter. If you need help, get it!  This is your life and it is meant to be enjoyed!

Here’s to our soft, easy and laser like focus on everything we want and the beauty in all of it.

Keep staring at that carrot!

Sending Love, Ease and Flow,
Crystal

Staring at the carrot

Thanks, Crystal, this is a great story and I love thinking of “stare at the carrot” to remind me to get focused. You mentioned “bored with the busy mind” too, and I hadn’t really realized that a lot of my thinking actually is quite boring. Recently I have been noticing it more, and choosing to ignore it in favor of feeling yummy. Lots of love and blessings, Grace

Love this!

Just found this, Crystal — and I love the simplicity and clarity of your message. It’s all just so easy (even though we want to complicate it beyond measure), and you convey that in such an effortless, fun way. Yay!!

Wonderful!

Thank you, Crystal, for that reminder to keep staring at our carrots! Much Love and appreciation! Siana

Ah, this new carrot!

Your blog, dear Crystal, came right in good time because I’ve been staring at a new carrot and I must get it! Thank you for your powerful insight!!! Hugs + love, love, love.
