Roll With It, Baby

Sometimes life IS too much or it certainly feels like that to me.

We lose someone too early while someone goes on in endless suffering or merely existing. A big bill comes in or your car breaks down. Your dog gets sick, money gets tight or someone you love hurts you. It happens. This is life after all.

My family and I have been going through a difficult time lately. This past month or more for sure… actually this whole year has been interesting. We lost my dear Aunt Lyn much too soon and several other family members are struggling with health issues.

I was standing at the kitchen sink, breathing through upset over one thing or another when I heard in my mind clear as a bell, “When life is too much, roll with it, baby.” Thank you, Steve Winwood.

Awwwwwwwww…. I remember. Yes and Thank you.

I can roll with this. I can soothe myself over what’s happening and hold the vision of peace, health and happiness for myself and my family.

It’s not always easy to remember to roll with it.

Hell, sometimes, it’s not even easy to roll with it when you remember to.

But, just remember that you CAN roll with it. Rolling with it is ALWAYS a possibility.

Rolling with it opens up avenues that resisting it shuts down.

Rolling with it relaxes your mind and allows you to see the potential positive outcome instead of staying focused on the crappy situation you’re having to deal with. Rolling with it keeps you moving while blaming or complaining keeps you stuck.

There have been more than a few times in the past month I’ve wanted to raise some serious hell and fight. I wanted to cuss and yell and be ugly. I didn’t. But, I really wanted to.

It wouldn’t have helped. I was mad at life and hurt about things I couldn’t control. It would have made me feel worse than I already did. I’m proud of myself for being grown, for remaining calm and keeping myself under control. I haven’t always done that.

I know I and my family aren’t the only ones going through difficult times.

If you’re struggling right now, hold on.

Everything is always working out for us. If things don’t look the way you want them to, keep breathing and wait. What’s that saying about (insert your state here) Texas weather? If you don’t like it, just wait 5 minutes.

In the mean time, I know those 5 minutes can feel like an eternity. I really do understand. But, the more you breathe and soothe yourself in the moment the better things will work out. Truly. You keep moving forward and taking the action you need to take, but do it from a place of centered calm. Big belly breaths will help you get there. (In through your nose, filling your belly first, out through your mouth.)

I am sending you love and soothing and peace and so much more ease and flow than you may have been experiencing lately. This too shall pass. Keep breathing. You’re doing great.

How To Get Pregnant (or whatever you want)

Alright, alright. Everyone just settle down. Let’s be adults here. I’m assuming you all watched HBO as children or peaked through your fingers during a movie when your parents said to cover your eyes. Hell, maybe they even talked to you about it. Whatever the case. You know the basics.

What I’m here to tell you is how to help yourself energetically while doing the things you know you gotta do… physically.

First, if you’ve been struggling and/or spending large amounts of time and money to try and make this happen, take a deep breath and relax. As a matter of fact, take a few deep breaths. Bless your heart. I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine how frustrating, upsetting or possibly devastating this must be for you and your partner. I love you so much and am here to help.

You can get pregnant and you can have a healthy, happy baby.

Once you’ve tried a few or more times and things didn’t work out, you got nervous and scared that you couldn’t and began feeling a deep longing for something you feel you can’t have. That feeling may be in your heart, or your stomach. You possibly feel it throughout your chest area and up into your neck and throat. This aching pain and discomfort is actually your ticket to a baby.

Notice what your mind is saying to you as you feel the physical discomfort in your body. What emotions are swirling around that feeling? Sadness, worry, anger, frustration, fear, longing?

Take another few deep breaths, in through your nose, filling your belly first, then your chest, hold for a couple of seconds and exhale. Do this a few times allowing your mind to relax and rest for a moment.

I understand well the feeling of needing to do something to make something happen immediately. But being calm and centered is what creates the space for what we want to happen.

When you notice the bodily discomfort your negative thoughts bring up and just allow yourself to feel them without going deeper into the sad story you’ll begin to notice a shift. Those feelings are telling you your focus isn’t helping your cause. Don’t worry or be angry. Just breathe and let the moment pass.

The next step, is to really really appreciate your great life as it is right now. When you wake in the night snuggle into your bed or your partner and recognize that your nights of uninterrupted sleep are numbered. Soon there will be a baby to feed or care for so relish your sleep and down time.

Clean and organize your house in preparation for the chaos that comes with a new baby. Begin to baby proof the house and set yourself up for success in a way you couldn’t do with a baby on your hip or on less than two hours of sleep. Know that everything is happening in perfect timing.

Begin talking to your baby. Yes, I know you’re not pregnant yet, but you want to be don’t you? The soul that will be your baby is with you and waiting for you to relax enough to allow their entrance into your life. Sing songs to your baby and put your hand on your belly and feel the joy bursting in your heart for the new life you’ll be bringing into this world.

Feel the excitement and relief of holding your precious, healthy baby in your arms. Can you feel it? If you still feel fear, longing or worry that it won’t happen. Go back to that place in your body and relax around it.

Finally, soothe yourself in your mind, constantly. Don’t allow yourself to say things like, I’m never going to get pregnant, I don’t deserve a baby. Notice what your mind is telling you and feel the feelings around it.

Just as you’ll be quite diligent about keeping your little four year old out of a busy street, keep your mind focused on soothing and uplifting yourself. Any negative or defeated thoughts only create more problems and obstacles. It’s ok to have them, just don’t entertain them. Soothe yourself and let them pass.

For my dear friends that have to rely on medical procedures to get pregnant, realize the pressure behind this process. I’m giving you the biggest hug right now. Bless your heart. You have to let the energy move and allow yourself to be soothed and uplifted. Sterile and medical environments coupled with money concerns and deep need cause stress in your body and make it more difficult to conceive.

Try taking a yoga class and meditating. Or find other activities that soothe and center you. Being in a place of peace and ease helps your body be more receptive to what you want.

Never forget that what you want is also wanting you. There is a baby waiting for you. Ready to come in and change your life forever.

I feel like I’m just beginning to come up for air. I’ve been out of touch for the past couple of weeks. My experience was difficult, but one I’m truly happy to have had.

My sister Johanna and I spent ten days caring for our 89 yr old grandmother with dementia. I’ve been completely out of the “internet” loop and off the computer. My cell phone service was terrible and they don’t have wifi so plugging in was the only option… after I ran out my data plan using my own hotspot. Oops. And aside from that, I didn’t care.

My grandmother is the matriarch of our family. Strong and prideful. Her house always clean and perfectly decorated. The fridge always filled with fresh and delicious food. I remember eating yummy sandwiches on wooden trays with thinly sliced bread, swiss cheese and avocados. And there were always Fritos, her favorite. She has great taste and beautiful clothes. Always classy and elegant with more than a touch of wild and mean. Her house, her rules. “This is not a gymnasium.” That’s how I remember her.

She’s still in there. We’d get glimpses here and there. But much of the time she wanted to sleep. We tried talking to her about her younger life and ours. We’d get moments of clarity, then she’d be gone again. Her only concerns were with having her bags packed, her purse and keys, her dog, Runner’s lead and who’s picking her up. She’s ready to go home.

Leaving her with my parents and coming home to try to get back into the swing of things has been interesting. Trading my laptop for holding, supporting and gently guiding my Grandmother around had a profound effect on me. I was shocked how familiar she felt to me.

Everything about her, I felt I knew. Even though I haven’t spent much time with her in the past 20 or more years and certainly have never been so close as we were in these past days. It’s me. So many things about her are me.

I’m still processing the experience; finding comfort and clarity in what I’ve discovered.

It’s not over. I’m still moving through the energy of it all. Alternately crying and laughing over scenarios I recall or remembering a picture I saw or letter I read. We’re all so closely connected. All intertwined in this game of life. Our lives weaving in and out of each others so seamlessly you don’t even realize that which is you, is also them.

Make no mistake. We are all here for a very important reason. To be our very best and happiest selves. To take what we’ve been given by all those around us and make it into something we love and appreciate.

It’s not always easy, but it can be done. It won’t happen immediately, although it can. Usually, it takes some time and reflection.

When we let ourselves truly feel in our body what we’re experiencing, instead of only thinking about it, it isn’t so difficult. It feels more familiar and comforting. Our minds tend to separate us, but our feelings will always bring us home.

Allow yourself your habitual thought processes at first, give yourself a break and just notice the direction your thoughts are taking. As you expand your awareness it will be easier and easier to separate yourself from the scenario.

Whatever your struggles may be these days, be so soft with yourself. We are such tender human beings.

Every feeling you have ever felt is absolutely valid. You are experiencing your experience and that was the way you felt. No worries at all.

Begin to give yourself the gift of just feeling what you feel, without any commentary from your mind. It will certainly be a transition if you’re one that is critical or judgmental of yourself and others, but you can do it. I’m here to help.

It really is.

Don’t worry, everything is always working out for you. That difficult task in front of you. The solution you need but don’t know about. It’s already been done. Someone has already figured it out and knows how to do it. The research has been done and findings published. Easier ways have been discovered and created. Plans have been shared and tweaked to perfectly fit any situation.

It’s that easy. All the information we need is readily available, we just have to know how to find it.

And finding it is much easier than looking for a needle in a haystack. You actually don’t have to build any bridges or tear down any walls to get to it. And you don’t have to travel to far away places to find it. You don’t need airfare, a doctors note, your parents or spouses permission. It’s all right here, you just have to relax.

Our health can be recovered. Our finances can bounce back. Our family can once again(or for the first time) come together in harmony. Our every need can be fulfilled in any moment when we are willing to give up our struggle against and begin looking for what we want.

Everything we require or desire is available to us. If you didn’t already know this… just Google it.

My mom was staying with my son when we were out of town and he was attending a dressy function that required a tie. As I’m the one that always tied his ties, he ask his Grammie for help. She didn’t know how to tie it either, so, what to do?

That’s right, he Googled it.

“How to tie a Windsor knot” and Voilà! a long list of handy dandy videos and info-graphics explaining and giving a examples of how to do it. Done. That was easy! Next.

During the six years I helped run a very successful internet business I never had to reinvent the wheel. Every time a need or desire arose the first question was “how do we make this work?” and then I’d Google it and find more information than you could shake a stick at. Someone has done a review and given you a short list of the top software, sites, tutorials, videos, cameras, cars, web hosts, etc. If I couldn’t find it immediately, I’d say something like, “No worries! Won’t it be nice when I stumble across just the exact right thing we’re looking for?” And inevitably I’d find it.

Everything you need is out there. The answer to your prayer, the solution to your problem, the cure for your disease… all available and closer than you think.

The quickest way to finding what you need is to go within. Take a break from the whirlwind of your physical reality for a moment and just be. Take a few deep breaths now, in through your nose, filling your belly first and then your lungs, hold it for a couple seconds and release. Pull in your belly at the end to completely empty your lungs so you’re getting a full fresh breath every time. (Do that three to ten times whenever you need to relax and find a better perspective.)

Breathe and feel what you feel physically in your body. Listen to what kind of thoughts your mind is generating. Are they hopeful, helpful thoughts or are you singularly focused on the problem and how big and bad it is.

Your focus is creating your reality.

If there is something in your life you don’t like and don’t want, give yourself a moment to acknowledge the feelings of worry, fear, frustration and upset around the situation. Acknowledge your humanity and appreciate the fact that you are not the first person to deal with this issue and there are plenty of people who have made it through using a number of different approaches that you might not know about or understand.

For every question, there is an answer.

For every problem, there is a solution.

For every prescription drug, there is a natural remedy that that drug was derived from or created to replace.

There’s a shoe for every foot and an ass for every seat.

There are buyers for what you are selling that only want to buy from you. There is no competition, except in your mind.

There is nothing you can’t create or allow into your life if you know how the world works and are willing to work within it’s rules. (Your focus creates your reality. Have I said that before?)

For every problem, there IS a solution.

Nothing is impossible. It ain’t over till it’s over and if it isn’t over, you can find another way.

How do you find this way?

Stop reacting.

Let yourself be OK with however you feel right now. Accept your feelings as momentary, passing waves of emotion.

Emotion = Energy in Motion

Discover the power of poise. The next time you are struck by a powerful negative feeling or emotion allow yourself to relax and take three deep breaths. You’ll notice the intensity of the emotion begins to diminish in your body much more quickly than it does when you react out of fear, anger or frustration. As that feeling passes, clarity comes. Your deep emotion subsides and you are able to make better decisions and actually see the situation as the good information it is… a heads-up alert to what you’re creating.

Your emotions are a precise indicator of your focus and thoughts. Notice when you feel bad that you are focusing on lack, limitation, blame, anger, frustration, worry, irritation, etc. When you feel good you’re focused on and thinking about good things in your life, happy times, lovely family members, the great job you did, the many blessings you have or things that please you. This is quite simple and very easy for you to confirm and acknowledge to/for yourself.

I’ll give you a minute…

So you’ll now begin to recognize that what you are thinking about and focusing on, you are creating. Period. Bottom Line. End of Story. Therefore, whatever you are worrying about you are also creating.

But, don’t worry! We’re all human. We came by it honestly. It came by our birth into our families, communities and society that didn’t have the information we have now. They were raised thinking outside circumstances controlled their lives and that’s what we learned. But when you know better, you can do better.

Give yourself a break and practice focusing on your destination. Where do you want to go? What do you want to do? What experiences do you long for? Do you want to experience perfect health? Do you want to get married and have a baby? Do you want to be financially secure and free?

Think about what it is you most want to feel…  happy, loved and loving, satisfied, healthy, engaged, peaceful, excited, free, joyous and abundant? This is how you focus on the end result. The finish line. Not what you think it’s going to take to get you there. But, just being there.

Don’t worry about what it will take to make it happen, just do what’s right in front of you. When you put one foot in front of the other and take care of what you need to take care of, with your focus on the end result, the easier road with all it’s possibilities and solutions will present itself in the most delightful way.

Happy Thursday folks and here’s your public service announcement for today and the rest of your life.

As the holidays speed toward us and we have so much on our plates, it’s important we take care of ourselves physically (and emotionally!) so we don’t get too stressed and overwhelmed by the whole process.

With travel, gifts, meals, parties and events to plan, prepare and coordinate this time of year is notorious for fraying nerves. Carving out time for yourself to rest and revitalize will help everything come together much more smoothly and efficiently.

When we’re asleep, we are completely relaxed. We enjoy relief from whatever troubles we’ve been dealing with. Our minds let go and allow the universe to continue showering us with blessings we might have been denying during our waking time by focusing on problems or how much we still have left to do.

Plan for yourself to take short power-naps or longer whenever you are able and just watch what happens. Before your nap and as you’re going to sleep at night, lightly set your intention to relax and release your worries of the day while gaining clarity on courses of action and setting yourself up for success.

Once you understand the importance of soothing and caring for yourself everything changes. Giving yourself the time to relax between meetings, tasks, parties and planning insures you are bringing the very best of you to each task.

Skip It

Great song, I didn't skip it!

Great song, I didn’t skip it!

By now, I’m sure most folks have had some experience with Pandora Radio or the like. Rather than watching the news, ridiculous reality TV or whatever crap might be on at any given moment, (while simultaneously being forced to endure countless erectile dysfunction/depression medication commercials that blast at three times the volume of the program) we choose to listen to music.

A few of my favorite features on Pandora are also important in my every day life. Thumbs up, thumbs down and skip it.

  • If I like(or love) a song, I give it the ol’ thumbs up. Pandora get’s the message that I like that particular song and gives me more like it.
  • If I don’t like the song (or hate it!), I just click the thumbs down. No problem. Hey, Pandora, I don’t like that one.
  • Then, my favorite of all. I don’t like the song or want something different? I just click… Skip it.

That’s it. Done. Moving on. I don’t like that song. I’m in the mood for something different. I don’t call Pandora and tell them to take the song down. I don’t tell anyone. I don’t get mad. I don’t justify why I don’t want it. I just skip it.

What if we all lived our lives this way? What if instead of pushing against everything you don’t like or judge as bad/wrong you just skipped it?

When it’s obvious you don’t like or want what you’ve seen… Great. Duly noted. Nothing more to do. From this point any fighting, shouting, justifying or defending only adds energy to the very thing you disapprove of. Even the most well intentioned post/conversation to “spread the word” about the terrible injustice only strengthens and gives it more power.

So, what do you do when faced with something frustrating, irritating, scary, worrisome or horrible. Breathe. Relax and take big deep breaths. Let the physical sensation accompanying the upset flow through your body until you feel the relief. You will feel relief. It’s natural for this energy to move and flow.

Now, immediately turn your attention and thoughts to what you would prefer. Just like your focus on the negative brings you more like it, when you focus on what you want, that grows as well. You get more and more of whatever it is you focus on, whether you like it or not. So, doesn’t it make sense to focus on what pleases you and makes you feel good and happy?

All governments being responsible and fair. The news media focusing on the much larger picture of what’s right in our magnificent world. Religions of the world actually doing good works rather than converting or condemning. Every human being recognizing they alone hold the power in their lives.

What is your true hearts desire?

How could you more easily focus on that?

What if you stopped looking at the world in terms of what you like and don’t like and just noticed what is?

What will your life be like when you move quickly past what’s wrong and focus easily on what would be better?

If you don’t like it, let yourself skip it. It’s only our attention to things that keep them swirling around in our lives. No worries, though! All it takes is the recognition of how to do it and a bit of practice. I’m here to help.

Busting Out

We all need and do “bust out” from time to time. The thought of our friends becoming new parents makes my heart feel like it will bust out of my chest. Perhaps the job you loved for so long is no longer a match so it’s time to bust out. Maybe we’re busting out because our work project is complete or school is out and it’s time for much needed ease and relief.

Whatever the reason for your last “bust out”, you can see and probably even FEEL the release and relief of busting out. Extracting yourself from a place or feeling that doesn’t seem big enough for you anymore. Something you can’t contain or keep restrained any longer. Busting out, while sometimes uncomfortable, will set you free.

I grew up out in the country on a huge ranch in between two small Texas towns. The people there are good as gold, with hearts the size of our great state, but the minds around there could use a little opening. I’m sure they’d disagree, but I’m a bit different.

Growing up there, you didn’t even realize what a huge world there was outside of our little slice of it. You spend your childhood and young adult life hearing and doing the same things as everyone else around you, not because you wanted to, just because that’s what you did. Most everyone dressed the same and listened to the same music.

We had new kids come in from far away places(like California, ha!) and I would immediately feel sorry for them. They thought they had landed in po-dunk hell. In some ways they had, in others, it was heaven.

I loved growing up and living there, and even today I still love that that is how and where I grew up. So many things I am, know and do are because of my life in that small place, but there is much more to life and me(and you).

What we learn from our parents, communities and society growing up is just that, what we learn, what they knew to teach us, what they knew about life up to that point. But life goes on and we all keep learning.(hopefully)

Folks from my home town do many things… work in the oil field, in schools, they are teachers, coaches and administrators, they are business men and women, parents, stay-at-home moms, and more than a few cowboys. These are all expected, respected, acceptable and appreciated “jobs.”

But how does it work if what you do or your life path doesn’t look exactly like everyone else? What if you have thoughts and feelings that don’t match what everyone else is thinking and feeling? What if your idea of success doesn’t look like what you’ve been taught success looks like? What if your family/friends/community think you need to be, do or have things you don’t really care about? What if they think what you do is a scam or crazy?

Only one thing to do.

Bust. Out.

First let me assure you that you are perfect, absolutely perfect, right now and that everything is absolutely working out for you. The ultimate beauty of this magnificent world we live in is diversity. Variety is the spice of life. It’s what keeps things interesting. Living the life you were meant to live is the most important thing you will ever do for yourself and the world.

You can’t live your life for everyone else forever. Actually, some can and do. If you love it, do it, otherwise stop and do what you love. It’s up to each of us to determine what we want and what will make us happy. If you’re spending all of your time trying to make sure you’re doing things others will approve of you’re missing out on your own true hearts desires.

I lived much of my younger life doing what someone else told me to do. Parents, teachers, bosses and two husbands all to varying degrees determined my existence. Doing what I was told to do and/or what I knew others expected of me was my way of life. It was only after realizing how miserable I was that began to see I didn’t want the same things as everyone else. And that was OK.

Feeling like an alien in your family or community is actually not a bad thing. Take a big step back and have a look at the values, attitudes, ideals and behaviors of the people you feel separated from, do you agree with them? Often times you won’t, and that will be the reason you feel the separateness.

Appreciate everyone and everything that has brought you to right here and now. Know that from right where you are, you can go where ever you want. And this requires absolutely no change on anyone else’s part. They are perfect just the way they are, too.

When we get this concept and begin to appreciate everyone in our lives for their perfect role in shaping who we have and will become, we are amazingly free. No one can ever offend or upset us again.

Learning to live with other people not appreciating or respecting what you do, who you are or how you do things can be an interesting journey. But,ultimately the most rewarding and important journey we’ll ever take.

One day you’ll realize what other people think doesn’t matter and you’ll find yourself giggling. You’ll laugh and laugh about all the times you worried about what someone else might think. Hilarious.

Set your intention now to discover the real you. Intend to truly know who you are, what you do and your benefit to others/society. Many people from your “original tribe” might not really get it or you and that’s OK.

I’m sure you are well aware how people feel about things they don’t understand… many times fearful or dismissive. But, that’s not about you. It’s about them. Bless them and move on.

So, here’s to busting out in whatever way feels best to you. Here’s to you finding your own clearest, strongest voice and the courage to use it.

Find your niche, spread your wings and soar. The world needs more and more people like you… being truly, authentically, happily who you are.

Focus Forward

I absolutely loved this Abraham quote. When we are in difficult situations or faced with ugly truths we tend to focus on the right now circumstances of our lives. Which, in moments of joy and happiness is great, but when things don’t look the way you want them to, can be painful to bear. In these hard times, the only thing to do is focus forward.

Think about how good it will feel just a few days, weeks or months from now when everything is as you’d like it to be.

Plan on it, say to yourself and everyone you know and love, “No worries, it’s all coming.” And then start imagining what it will look like when it gets here. Don’t allow yourself to stay focused on what you don’t want. Take a deep breath, relax and know it will work out. It can be hard for us to believe that our minds don’t always have the right answers and that sometimes(most times) until you are consciously focusing on what you want, it actually makes things worse.

Your focus on how you want it to be is the most important thing you can do
to bring about the results you want.

Give yourself the chance to create what you want instead of repeating old scenarios again and again. Let the last time be the last time and move on. No worries. No big deal. That’s how we previously did things, but we’re doing this now.

We think over 70,000 thoughts per day and the majority of those thoughts are the same as yesterday. Focusing forward moves yourself closer to what you actually do want.

When you allow what’s wrong to just flow by you(through your life experience) without fanfare, it doesn’t stick around. The situation will pass and you will be more aware of what you’d prefer to happen next time.

But, when we shout about it, fight about it, blog about it, Facebook it, Tweet it, think about it and discuss it with multiple friends and family members, it can’t help but repeat itself. And then you get to say, “See, I told you so. I knew this was going to happen. This always happens.”

But is that what you really want? No, it’s not. You may think it makes you feel better to “vent”, but you’re only hurting yourself(and the person that has to listen to it). Give yourself 5 minutes with one person to bitch about whatever you need to bitch about and then be done with it.

You want peace, ease, wellness, happiness, relief, health, harmony, joy, excitement, abundance, satisfaction, fulfillment… am I on the right track? Thought so.

Don’t ask why or what else could go wrong? Why only gets you more wrapped up in the trouble at hand and what else is creatively asking for more of what you don’t want.

If you want something different to happen in your world, you’ve got to begin to think differently. Allow yourself to feel through whatever comes up in your moment of upset, but begin to change the way you think about problems… Interesting situation. I wonder how this is going to work out in my favor? Forget that problems even exist. Forget them. Think about the solutions.

Focus forward with these questions. Don’t try to answer them. Just ask and let the universe deliver.

  • What is my true hearts desire?
  • How will it feel when I’ve gotten what I wanted?
  • How can it be easier?
  • Who could help?
  • How can I allow myself to allow more help?
  • How good will I feel when I’ve allowed the easiest solution?
  • How much easier will my life be when I think only in terms of solutions?
  • How fun and exciting will it be when I no longer see life’s problems as problems?

Now, just start making a note of everything that is working out for you. Make a list of things you want and start watching for them to show up.

Keep living your life and doing what you need to do, just notice when coincidences happen or synchronicities show up. Take them as cues that you’re on the right track and let it encourage you to keep your focus on the end result.

Oh, how I love where I live.

These shots were from Dionne’s birthday picnic (last January) at McKinney Falls State Park Southeast of Austin, Texas.

These beautiful limestone falls have been carved by water over thousands of years. Another example of the peaceful power of water. It doesn’t fight, it just keeps on rolling, constantly, gently making its way.

Here’s to us all being more like water… less fight, more flow.

The water was low at this time but what a beautiful site we would have missed if it had been full. The graceful curves in the limestone created by the water is a wonderful reminder to let it all flow.McKinney Falls 2 McKinney Falls 6

Say YES to the Mystery

  • What if you didn’t have to figure it all out? (You don’t.)
  • What if what you want also want’s you? (It does.)
  • What if you were supposed to relax into it, instead of working so hard to get it? (You are.)
  • What if there were inspired action to take that would make your physical “work” enjoyable? (There is.)
  • What if you could ask the right questions and receive the inspiration? (You can.)
  • What if you had someone to help you figure this all out? (You do.)

Life doesn’t have to be filled with drudgery. There is a way for you to get exactly what you want without you having to do that thing you hate to get it.

Of course, you have to do your part. But your part can be whatever you want it to be. We didn’t come into this world to struggle and be miserable. God wants us to be happy, healthy and abundant. We are supposed to enjoy this beautiful earth and everything in it.

This is your life.

Live it the way you want to.

This seems to be a major theme with folks these days and I’m so happy to hear it. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone did what they wanted to do and allowed everyone else to do the same.

At our Be Soothed and Uplifted Meetup on Monday night, every single person at the table described their situation as “in transition.” People are ready and willing to make the changes they want in their lives.

Many folks I’ve been talking to lately are tired of doing things the old way. (The way someone else wants it done.) People are ready to let it in. Ready to figure out this new way of living… for themselves.

That doesn’t mean you don’t care about other people. It means you care enough about them to be your best and happiest self. When we are truly happy, we spread that joy to others. You can’t help it.

When you are happy and fulfilled, you over-flow that powerful energy to all you encounter. You are now an agent for positive change without saying a word or lifting a finger.

Joy, peace, happiness and compassion are like a salve for a wounded world. We’ve lived too long in conflict within ourselves and outwardly in our environment and relationships.

Take a deep breath right now and realize that what you want is ok. You have every right to your own true hearts’ desires, whatever they may be.

And even more good news… you don’t have to figure it all out.

Think of all the unexpected blessings you have experienced in your life. Think of the seeming tragedies(in the moment) that blossomed into something wonderful you previously couldn’t have imagined.

Learn how to say YES and relax into the mystery. Trying to figure everything out ourselves is a long and difficult process. Relax into your current reality and say YES, I can have what I want and no, I don’t have to know exactly how it’s going to work out right now.

God (the Universe/Source) knows how to make it happen and is conspiring to create it for you. There is no such thing as missed opportunities. If this didn’t work out, something else will. There will be a next opportunity and a next opportunity. That’s the way it works.

Live is a never-ending series of adventures. Learn to go with the flow!
