Soul Food: What feeds your soul?

What Feeds Your Soul by Crystal Nuding

My son turned 21 a few weeks ago. When I ask him what he wanted me to cook for his birthday I got the answer I expected, Chicken and Dumplin’s. They are and always have been his favorite. And before they were his, they were mine. My Great Grandmother Patterson would make them for me and my sisters when we were little. They were always so delicious.

As I stood in the kitchen preparing my only child’s favorite birthday meal my thoughts would drift back to my Grandmother’s kitchen in the big house. Chicken simmering on the stove, flour from rolling out the dough everywhere, the smells warm and comforting. It was a precious time for me and my sisters; to share that experience with Quentin feeds my soul.

What feeds your soul? It doesn’t have to be food. It can be anything, sitting down with a good book, hiking or kayaking down the river. It could be outside in your garden with your hands in the earth cultivating organic veggies for your family or growing roses like your grandmother did. Maybe it’s mowing the lawn and setting the sprinkler so you can sit back and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of your childhood.

We’ve gotten so wrapped up in what other people think, what we’re “supposed” to do, how we look or what we have or don’t have. None of that really matters. What matters is how you feel on a regular basis. Are you happy? Do you feel good?

Many of us are under constant stress. At home we worry about what we needed to do for work and at work we think about all the things that need to get done at home. We worry about our government, we struggle with our weight, relationships or a health issue all the while believing that if we just think enough about these problems that we’ll resolve them. We came to the conclusion over the years that worrying is a good thing and that if we aren’t worried, we don’t care or aren’t paying proper attention.

Do you want the good news or bad news first?

Well, the bad news is this. Worrying = planning. Worry = creating. The more you think about and worry over upsetting situations in your life, the more and more you will experience those kind of situations that make you feel worried. It’s OK if you are scared to not worry. It’s how we’ve done things for all these years. But, if you’ll notice, worrying isn’t helping, it’s only robbing you of your peace in those moments.

The good news is you can feel through the stress, nervousness or upset physically and shift the situation. You don’t have to keep recreating the same worrisome scenarios over and over in your life. You have more control over your feelings and life than you’ve previously exercised or even been aware of. Again, this is all OK. When you know better, you do better.

We have to begin taking responsibility for our own peace and happiness. It is ours for the having when we stop thinking someone else should behave differently for us to be happy or satisfied. Our happiness and satisfaction is completely within our own control.

When you’re in the midst of a crisis or problem give yourself a break from it and instead let yourself think about what feeds your soul. What could you do in this moment to soothe yourself and begin to think of more pleasing things?

Our minds can’t think differently from how we feel emotionally so give yourself the gift of feeling better. Don’t try to figure things out immediately, just begin to move yourself towards feeling better physically.

What soothes and feeds your soul? Going for a swim, a hot bath and cuppa tea, a round of golf/tennis, quality time with a good friend? What made you feel good as a child? Playing outside, listening to music or coloring? How can you recreate that feeling today?

Ask yourself what feeds your soul and then see what comes up. Maybe you’ll have a memory of something you’d love to do again or a song on the radio or friend reminds you of an activity or experience that would feed your soul. Let yourself open to the wonder you experienced as a child, appreciating small things as if you’re seeing them for the first time.

As I was sitting down with my delicious bowl of Chicken and Dumplin’s I made for Quentin, I was immediately transported to Grandmother’s house. We were at the dining room table, all with our bowls and I could sense her. Her shaky hands with pink nail polish, the clicking of her teeth and dainty way she chewed.

In my heart I heard “You done good girl, I love you, I love you, I love you.” I held that bowl close to my face and just breathed it all in. Being there with my sisters and my precious grandmother, feeling the love that truly exists for me in every moment of my life. My heart burst while the tears of love and appreciation flowed down my cheeks. I love you, Grandmother. Thank you for teaching me about Heaven, love and kindness.

Find whatever that thing is for you and do it. Rediscover the thing that opens your heart and makes you remember the love that is here for you in this very moment, in every moment.

Stress is a temporary thing that can move quickly or last forever, it’s up to you. Give yourself the love and care you deserve by feeding your own soul. Take the time to do it, you’ll never be sorry you did and you’ll always feel better when you do.

Sending you all my soul feeding love, soothing, peace, ease and flow!

Don’t Worry, Just Be

Relaxing on the river

Relaxing on the river

“Singin’ don’t worry, about a thing, cause every little thing, is gonna be alright.”

“Three Little Birds” – Bob Marley

It really is.

Don’t worry, everything is always working out for you. That difficult task in front of you. The solution you need but don’t know about. It’s already been done. Someone has already figured it out and knows how to do it. The research has been done and findings published. Easier ways have been discovered and created. Plans have been shared and tweaked to perfectly fit any situation.

It’s that easy. All the information we need is readily available, we just have to know how to find it.

And finding it is much easier than looking for a needle in a haystack. You actually don’t have to build any bridges or tear down any walls to get to it. And you don’t have to travel to far away places to find it. You don’t need airfare, a doctors note, your parents or spouses permission. It’s all right here, you just have to relax.

Our health can be recovered. Our finances can bounce back. Our family can once again(or for the first time) come together in harmony. Our every need can be fulfilled in any moment when we are willing to give up our struggle against and begin looking for what we want.

Everything we require or desire is available to us. If you didn’t already know this… just Google it.

My mom was staying with my son when we were out of town and he was attending a dressy function that required a tie. As I’m the one that always tied his ties, he ask his Grammie for help. She didn’t know how to tie it either, so, what to do?

That’s right, he Googled it.

“How to tie a Windsor knot” and Voilà! a long list of handy dandy videos and info-graphics explaining and giving a examples of how to do it. Done. That was easy! Next.

During the six years I helped run a very successful internet business I never had to reinvent the wheel. Every time a need or desire arose the first question was “how do we make this work?” and then I’d Google it and find more information than you could shake a stick at. Someone has done a review and given you a short list of the top software, sites, tutorials, videos, cameras, cars, web hosts, etc. If I couldn’t find it immediately, I’d say something like, “No worries! Won’t it be nice when I stumble across just the exact right thing we’re looking for?” And inevitably I’d find it.

Everything you need is out there. The answer to your prayer, the solution to your problem, the cure for your disease… all available and closer than you think.

The quickest way to finding what you need is to go within. Take a break from the whirlwind of your physical reality for a moment and just be. Take a few deep breaths now, in through your nose, filling your belly first and then your lungs, hold it for a couple seconds and release. Pull in your belly at the end to completely empty your lungs so you’re getting a full fresh breath every time. (Do that three to ten times whenever you need to relax and find a better perspective.)

Breathe and feel what you feel physically in your body. Listen to what kind of thoughts your mind is generating. Are they hopeful, helpful thoughts or are you singularly focused on the problem and how big and bad it is.

Your focus is creating your reality.

If there is something in your life you don’t like and don’t want, give yourself a moment to acknowledge the feelings of worry, fear, frustration and upset around the situation. Acknowledge your humanity and appreciate the fact that you are not the first person to deal with this issue and there are plenty of people who have made it through using a number of different approaches that you might not know about or understand.

For every question, there is an answer.

For every problem, there is a solution.

For every prescription drug, there is a natural remedy that that drug was derived from or created to replace.

There’s a shoe for every foot and an ass for every seat.

There are buyers for what you are selling that only want to buy from you. There is no competition, except in your mind.

There is nothing you can’t create or allow into your life if you know how the world works and are willing to work within it’s rules. (Your focus creates your reality. Have I said that before?)

For every problem, there IS a solution.

Nothing is impossible. It ain’t over till it’s over and if it isn’t over, you can find another way.

How do you find this way?

Stop reacting.

Let yourself be OK with however you feel right now. Accept your feelings as momentary, passing waves of emotion.

Emotion = Energy in Motion

Discover the power of poise. The next time you are struck by a powerful negative feeling or emotion allow yourself to relax and take three deep breaths. You’ll notice the intensity of the emotion begins to diminish in your body much more quickly than it does when you react out of fear, anger or frustration. As that feeling passes, clarity comes. Your deep emotion subsides and you are able to make better decisions and actually see the situation as the good information it is… a heads-up alert to what you’re creating.

Your emotions are a precise indicator of your focus and thoughts. Notice when you feel bad that you are focusing on lack, limitation, blame, anger, frustration, worry, irritation, etc. When you feel good you’re focused on and thinking about good things in your life, happy times, lovely family members, the great job you did, the many blessings you have or things that please you. This is quite simple and very easy for you to confirm and acknowledge to/for yourself.

I’ll give you a minute…

So you’ll now begin to recognize that what you are thinking about and focusing on, you are creating. Period. Bottom Line. End of Story. Therefore, whatever you are worrying about you are also creating.

But, don’t worry! We’re all human. We came by it honestly. It came by our birth into our families, communities and society that didn’t have the information we have now. They were raised thinking outside circumstances controlled their lives and that’s what we learned. But when you know better, you can do better.

Give yourself a break and practice focusing on your destination. Where do you want to go? What do you want to do? What experiences do you long for? Do you want to experience perfect health? Do you want to get married and have a baby? Do you want to be financially secure and free?

Think about what it is you most want to feel…  happy, loved and loving, satisfied, healthy, engaged, peaceful, excited, free, joyous and abundant? This is how you focus on the end result. The finish line. Not what you think it’s going to take to get you there. But, just being there.

Don’t worry about what it will take to make it happen, just do what’s right in front of you. When you put one foot in front of the other and take care of what you need to take care of, with your focus on the end result, the easier road with all it’s possibilities and solutions will present itself in the most delightful way.

I am holding the vision of your perfect health, happiness, vitality and abundance. It’s available to you in all moments. Relax and receive.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

All my love to you for a joyous and blessed holiday season,

Crystal

Alphabet Soup

Alphabet Soup

Do you ever lie awake in bed at night and wish you could turn your brain off? Chores, bills, family issues running through your mind, one after the other. Things to do, business to handle, problems to solve and beside all of that, the world is going to hell in a hand-basket.

It’s really not, it just serves a handful of folks to make you think it is.

Not to worry, I can help.

Being human we all have this busy monkey mind problem. From where you may be right now, your thoughts can jump around from who’s done wrong, to what you’ve done wrong.

Focusing on what is bad, wrong, terrible, unjust, wrong, wrong, wrong(did I say wrong?) is the natural order of the day for most folks. If you think that’s just the way you are and it can’t change, you’re wrong.

It’s easy to refocus our minds with a bit of information and a couple of simple, easy tools in our belt to use when we need them.

Tip 1 – Get into your “Right Brain.”

As you know, our brain is divided into a right and left hemisphere. The left side of your brain is the analytical, critical thinking side(notice the word CRITICAL?), while the right hemisphere of your brain is where your creativity comes from. When your brain is running a mile a minute, say aloud or to yourself, “let’s get into our right brain.” It will help slow down the computer(your brain) and allow you to focus on something more pleasurable and relaxing.

Tip 2 – Give your brain a job.

Once you’ve gotten yourself into your “right mind,” consciously begin to think of other things. As I was lying in bed the other night trying to turn my brain off so I could get to sleep and rest easily, I started this little game in my head.

Using the alphabet, I started saying words that soothed me and focused me easily in a different direction(I was asleep by K). Coming up with the next word took all of my attention as I was searching for words that felt good so my busy mind was busy supporting me. You can’t keep thinking of what you don’t like if you are actively thinking about something else.

Below is the list of words I started compiling.

  • Amazing Appreciation Abundance Adventure Allow Afloat
  • Bold Believe Boundless Beauty Breakthrough BE Breathtaking
  • Caring Capable Compassion Confidence Creativity Colorful
  • Delicious Desire Dreams Daring Divine Dazzle
  • Exciting Effortless Ecstasy Empower Enjoy Ease Epic Exhilarating Expansive
  • Friendly Flowing Fun Faith Free Fabulous Fantastic Flowery
  • Gracious Grandeur Grateful Giggling Gentle Groovy Graceful
  • Happy Hilarious Hopeful Heart Hugs Honor Healthy
  • Inspired Imagination Independence Innovation Intention
  • Joyous Jokes Juicy Jolly Jocularity Jazz
  • Kindness Kiss Kinky
  • Love Laugh Luminous Life Lounging Lively Luscious Liberty Lavish Lucrative
  • Miracle Moments Memories Magic Mysterious
  • Natural Nature Nice Neat Nurtured Nourished
  • Original Optimist Orgasmic Outstanding
  • Purposeful Positivity Potential Possibility Peace Passionate Prosperity Power Playful Psychedelic
  • Quirky Quality Quilt Quiver Queendom Quaint
  • Romantic Relationship Romance Respect Robust Replenished Recharged Rested Renewed Relief
  • Strong Sweet Smart Solutions Shine Soothing Shift Sensual Serene Spectacular Success
  • Tantalizing Truth Triumph Transformation Thankful Terrific Trust
  • Unfolding Universe Uplifting Utopia Uninhibited Understood United Unequaled Unity
  • Vision Visualize Vibrations Vivacious Vibrant Virile Voluptuous Variety
  • Wonderful Worthiness Wonder Whole Wise Wellness Wealth Whimsical
  • Xylophone (haha, you let me know what X letters you come up with!)
  • Yes Yummy Yielding Yay Youthful Yachting
  • Zealous Zest Zone Zing Zippy

You can do it spontaneously or plan for it. Sometimes it helps to have a plan in place for moments when you know you could have a hard time focusing on the positive. Write them down on a piece of paper and just read them aloud or to yourself. Post your list in your car, on your bathroom mirror, the refrigerator or in your office.

Don’t let yourself spend too much time fretting, worrying or focusing on things that upset you. We, as human beings, are vibrational boomerangs. What you put out there you absolutely do get back.

So when you find yourself raging against the machine(any of them or their drivers) take a couple steps back and a big deep breath.

Allowing yourself to move the energy physically in the moment and placing your conscious focus on better feeling things move you away from what you don’t want and draw you closer to that thing or situation that you would prefer, that feels good.

Simply reading a list of positive, good feeling words is much more helpful and effective than complaining about what happened and repeating that story to as many people will listen. You may think sharing your woes feels good, but it actually only creates more of what you don’t want.

Give it a shot. Make your own list or use words from mine. When you find yourself focusing in a way that doesn’t feel good do yourself a favor and consciously turn it around.

Let me know how this list works for you. Please share any other good feeling words I have undoubtedly left out.

Seeing your absolute freedom, happiness, wellness and abundance!

Much Love to you,
Crystal

What do you want?

Sending much love and soothing to everyone this beautiful day. We have been having relatively mild weather this Spring here in Central Texas. My hashtag #MilderTexasWeather is working. Next up is #MildRainyTexasSummer. Share it far and wide! For friends here in Texas, let’s see how we can change the weather, shall we?

It is much easier for someone outside the immediate situation to lend their positive thoughts, as someone facing a tornado can attest. My friend Roxanne Darling in Hawaii writes about how hashtag #thinkcalmthoughts helped dissipate two tsunami’s that were predicted to cause massive destruction. The people in the path of these storms may have been worried, but thousands of people across the world could(and did) easily think calm thoughts and affect the situation.

We are energetic beings and our thoughts are powerful. Watch the fabulous documentary Water: The Great Mystery to hear and see evidence from scientists and holy men about the power of our words and thoughts. They explain how we are all connected and can communicate on a deep level even over thousands of miles.

Share #thinkcalmthoughts for our friends in areas prone to harsh weather. It’s important for everyone to recognize we can have an affect on these situations, even from a distance. Many blessings to our friends all over the world that have experienced destructive weather.

What weather would you like to experience more of? Forget what you don’t want to see, what would feel best to you right now?

A drenching rain or a beautiful, cloudless sunny sky?

Come up with your own hashtag and put it out there. See what happens when you begin to actively focus on what you want. This can be about the weather or anything you want more of. Feel free to use some of the examples below or come up with your own. What do you want?

#MildRainyTexasSummer #BrightFuture #DreamJob #BrandNewDay #PowerfulHappyWomen #Equality #StrongPeacefulMen #Hope #BeautifulStrongWomen  #HappyPowerfulMen #HappySuccessfulChildren #HappyHealthyBaby #SuccessfulHappyMarriage #HealthyHappyFitBody #AbundanceAndProsperity #WildlyProsperousBusiness #HappyJoyousLife #PeaceEaseFlow

Better and more powerful than any physical action you could take, really let yourself think about and focus on what you want. Once you get clear and more singularly focused on what you do want, inspiration comes and the action you need to take becomes obvious.

Here are some tips for how to more easily and effortlessly bring about the change you wish to see:

  • Think about it… often. What do you want?
  • Set a goal and write it down. What do you want? When do you want it?
  • Spend time writing about it. Describe what it will look like and how it will be in as much detail as feels good.
  • Post your hashtag on your social media accounts. Send it out for others to share the vision with you.
  • Create a beautiful picture of it either digitally or with magazine cutouts and write your hashtag on it.
  • Post it on your vision board or bathroom mirror.
  • Make it a part of your screensaver or computer background so you see it daily.

People truly love to support each other. A beautiful picture, story or even just sharing the hashtag. People will resonate with it and share it with others.

Share and expand your vision, dream or desire with us. What do you want more of?

Involving many people in your conscious, active, positive focus is fun, rewarding and helps things move along much more quickly. Let in the help.

How good will it feel when you allow yourself the help you need?

I look forward to hearing more about what you want and how that’s progressing for you.

Much Love to you,
Crystal

Go Fly a Kite

Kite on the BeachSeriously. Drop everything right now and go fly a kite. Unless there’s no wind, then don’t, that would be very frustrating. What I’m suggesting is to find simple pleasures that are fun, exhilarating and make you laugh until you cry.

I had never flown a kite until this past week-end. How can I be from some place as windy as Texas and not have ever flown a kite? Who knows. There are a lot of questions like this I ask myself. To which I quickly answer… “Who cares! No time like the present!”

We knew it was going to be windy as hell on the beach so we dropped two dollars on a kite at the grocery store as we headed out of town. There were Barbi kites and ones with Monster trucks on them, but the one with the big bloodshot eyes on it conveyed the week-end at the beach feel we were going for.

When Dionne and I took the kite out for our first run, I was a bit apprehensive. I really wanted that kite to fly, but the only other time I had tried(as a child) was a bit of a downer. It didn’t work out. Who knows what the problem was then. Blazing hot sun, stickers and not enough wind, I’d imagine. This time was different.

We were in Port Aransas, Texas and the wind was blowing around 400 mph. (Ok, maybe it was 40mph, we couldn’t tell.) With the first toss of the kite into the air, it took flight. Those big blood shot eyes staring down at us, a sign of what was to come. We laughed and laughed. I was a natural.

When it would start to drop, I’d take some slack out of the string and watch it rise. If that didn’t work I’d take off running and up it would go. We took turns, handing the kite back and forth, running and laughing at the birds that came around to see what we were doing.

By the time we made it back into the house we were absolutely spent. Wind whipped and breathless, we giggled for the next few hours. Laughing about our attempts to actually navigate the darn thing.

Saturday we tied our little grocery store kite to our beach chairs and let it fly. We saw all kinds of fancy kites with long tails and beautiful designs but our little kite with the blood shot eyes fit us perfectly. You could actually see the resemblance toward the end of the day.

We came home on Sunday to my Mom who was babysitting our wiener dog, Oliver. “Mom! I flew a kite! I flew a kite! Did you know I could fly a kite?!” The childlike wonder and joy could not be contained.

If it’s breathtaking and exhilarating, that’s when you know you’ve got it. Do that thing that makes you feel like that over and over again.

We started playing tennis back in January and it has been an endless fount of entertainment and exercise, but there are windy days that make it less enjoyable. We now have an equally enjoyable and laugh inducing activity for those days.

So, get out there and fly a kite. Play tennis. Watch children play. Laugh. Do something that tickles you. Intend right now to find your childlike wonder and see what fun things start showing up to make you laugh even more.

No matter what is going on in your world right now, laughing will make it better. Give it a shot. If you have a hard time laughing because of the situation you might be in, relax. Things can change in an instant.

The only thing that REALLY has to change for you to feel better right NOW, is your perspective. There is one that serves you. What you want is out there. You can have it and it is easier than you think. Lightening up about life and everything in it helps.

Watch a funny TV show or read a funny book. Spend time with people that make you laugh. If you don’t have any friends like that, no worries. Simply imagine how much fun it will be when they show up. It’s just that you didn’t know to be looking for them.

Sending you much love, laughter, peace, ease, flow and enough wind to keep your kite up! Fly high!

Much Love to you,
Crystal

Life is a Roller Coaster

Purple Star

My life completely turned upside down(fabulously!) in October. I was freshly on my own and wondering how it was all going to work out.  Financially supporting myself fully (without a “job” with a paycheck) for the first time in my life was nerve racking and exciting all at the same time.

It took months actually before I really realized how stuck I was in my thinking.

Years of doing things the way other people want them done can take a toll on you. You begin to think that someone else might actually know what you should do better than you. Wrong.

It took me a minute to get here, but here I am! Life is good and exciting and things are moving along nicely.

Creating the space for my success has been something I’ve been doing for a while now.  Allowing myself to move through the nervous/habitual energy when it comes up and not getting into some dramatic story of what’s happening and why and who is wrong or right. I let the energy move and it always works out.

Everything is always working out. Always.

The grip of “what’s going to happen” can be strong, but I always know it will work out. We humans do so love the drama.

And boy did it work out!

Today I have a small office in South Austin (by appointment only) and a thriving practice doing most of my sessions over the phone or via Skype. The money is coming, steadily and surely. I am now working with several businesses and many individuals creating great results.

I wrote a short eBook, 4 Tips for Living a Happy Life you can get for free by signing up for my Be Soothed and Uplifted newsletter or you may purchase it on Amazon Kindle. I’ve gotten great feed back which has spurred me on toward the completion of my next book in progress, Navigating Your Life.

A few months ago, I didn’t know how it was going to work or what it would look like. That amount of uncertainty leaves our minds all kinds of room for speculation and we do have a choice on which direction we speculate.

I did not fantasize about being broke or not being able to make it or having to get a “real job” that doesn’t burst my heart and make me happy. I didn’t freak out and call everyone telling them my problems and worries.

What I did do and still do(all day everyday) is allow myself to feel what I feel about everything and soothe my mind if it gets too busy over anything it thinks might need to be fixed.

I spend time doing the things I am inspired to do and feeling good about what I have done.

Things that show up, I deal with. Like when the heating element went out in my oven. I could have gotten upset and raised hell and complained about the “great timing”, but I didn’t.

What I did do was appreciate the opportunity to care for something that means a great deal to me and the people for whom I cook. I called a friend who knew about such things, got the part number and website to order it. When the part came in, the oven got pulled out, cleaned thoroughly, part replaced and something was cooked immediately.

My appreciation for my appliances and all of the things that make life so simple and easy is overwhelming. We’ve lived here for 10 years with no trouble so it was my pleasure to give some time and attention to the machine that has provided 1000’s of meals to family and friends.

Decide how you want to live your life and start moving that direction. Give yourself the soothing and support you need to live your best, easiest and most relaxed life. We didn’t come into this world to struggle for someone else’s wants, desires and wishes.

Give yourself a moment to think about what you want. What does your body tell you about those thoughts? Do you feel a “whatever dude!” in your stomach, or “not likely” in your chest. Maybe you feel that lump in your throat that says it’s not safe to express your own true self. Those “bad” feelings are a sign of beliefs you hold that don’t support you. The beauty is, once you realize this, the feelings can be felt, the energy moved and more supportive beliefs embraced.

A belief is just a thought you keep thinking, whether it’s true or not.

I’m here to tell you, enjoy the roller coaster, it’s all ok. And better than that, it’s great. Your true purpose in this life is to be happy; the feelings are showing you where to start. Those feelings in your body were never meant to stick around forever, they want to move and I can help.

Where in your body do you carry your nervous energy?
Heart/chest, stomach, jaw/throat?

Those feelings can move and when they do, you will feel relief and freedom. I’m here to help.

Much Love,
Crystal

Monday Morning Rave!

Spring is coming!

Spring is coming!

Raving is one of the best ways to get more of what you want. Look around you and notice what’s going right in your life. Much more than the little irritations of everyday living, we are surrounded by so much to appreciate.

When you take time out of your day to appreciate what you do have and what is going right for you, your mind gets on the band wagon and starts looking for more and more things for you to appreciate. The very same is true when you find things that irritate you. So be conscious of where you are focusing your attention.

It might take some practice but is well worth the effort. Get started with whatever is in front of you that you can’t imagine your life without. Once you begin to focus on the good stuff it gets easier and easier. You are essentially re-training your brain to focus on the wanted rather than the unwanted. Whatever you focus on, you get. No doubt about it. So start looking for what feels good and you’ll be amazed at what happens.

  1. I first want to appreciate Michelle Dobbins over at http://DailyAlchemy.com/ for featuring me in her blog on Friday. Michelle is a writer, mother and partner to her husband in their HVAC business in Greenville, South Carolina. She is a multi-talented woman and a blessing to everyone in her life. Her questions were so great that I created a FAQ page on my site with them. Thank you, Michelle!
  2. The weather has been absolutely beautiful here in Central Texas. My peach trees have already bloomed and there are tiny baby peaches everywhere. The tender green of the first leaves of spring warm my heart and remind me of the pure perfection of this amazing world we live in. We enjoyed working out in the yard yesterday, raking leaves and picking up the limbs and debris the wind has been blowing around.
  3. I’m looking forward to playing tennis this afternoon. Talk about something to rave about… TENNIS! It’s hilarious because we’re really not very good. But, it is a great workout and we just laugh the whole time.
  4. I LOVE hot tea. Delicious and doesn’t shake me out of my shoes. 🙂
  5. We spent a fantastic day in San Antonio on Saturday which was Texas Independence Day. On the way home, Dionne read (I feel a technology rave coming) to us about the Battle of the Alamo. We both cried and felt such love and appreciation to all of people, Texans and courageous men from all over that fought and died.
  6. Technology. How fantastic is that? We’re driving down the road talking about something(ANYTHING) and someone says, I’ll look it up. Out comes the smart phone and any information you might need is right at your finger tips. Amazing!
  7. I had a 2 hour Skype session with my little sister, Johanna Nuding yesterday. It was so good to see her face and hear of her Italian adventures. We laughed and talked forever. It’s been a while since we’ve gotten to chat and talking on Skype is almost like the being there. I don’t know what I’d do without it. YAY! Thank you technology.
  8. My son is healthy, happy, making grown up decisions and taking care of business. What a blessing! I truly can’t rave enough about that.
  9. I’ve created a Meetup group and we have our first meeting this evening!
  10. My biggest rave is my recognition of how the world works. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I get that what I focus on expands and I create my world on a daily basis. When something shows up I don’t like or appreciate, I say yes and thank you! Thanks for letting me know what I have going on in my vibration. I can feel what it makes me feel without taking it personally or too seriously. My life is my own and I am FREE.
  11. I also want to RAVE about the beautiful birds I get to watch outside my office window. Beautiful red Cardinals and Bluejays are some of my favorites. The joy I experience from just watching them is palpable. Nature is one of our greatest blessings.
  12. I almost forgot to RAVE about the completion of my new eBook 4 Tips for Living a Better Life! You can get it for free when you sign up for my newsletter or it will soon be available for purchase on Amazon Kindle. Plus, my book Navigating Your Life is coming along nicely and I’m feeling great about it. 🙂

Start raving today and see what happens for you.

Much Love,
Crystal

What do you have to rave about?

For everyone that comments with a rave, I’ll put your name in a drawing for a Free Rave or Soothing Session. I’ll draw and announce the results on Friday!
Have a wonderful week!

Be Your Own Valentine

Be Your Own Valentine!

Be Your Own Valentine!

This time of year, whether coupled or not, many find ourselves longing. Society, media and big business have a lot riding on your not feeling happy and complete. If you’re constantly longing, you’re constantly buying. The next biggest thing… new car, new clothes to keep up with the latest fashion, whatever it takes to feel better.

Many folks spend this time of year wishing for someone to love and adore them, even when they may already have someone who does.

We all want someone who will understand us, treat us with kindness, compassion and always appreciate our eccentricities.

Though we think we want it from other people, who we really need it from is much closer. The single most important relationship we will have in our entire lives is with ourselves.

Your true and perfect partner is you. The way you treat yourself in the quiet of your own mind will be directly reflected in your outer life and circumstances.

Too many of us spend our lives waiting for that perfect someone to soothe us and care for us in the way we want and need to be cared for. But, actually giving ourselves what we need is the quickest way to create it in our outer life reality.

No matter your past or how your life has been up until this point, things can change and you can have what you want.

When you find yourself feeling vulnerable, soothe yourself. Allow yourself to be reminded that we are all fragile human beings that spend way too much time in our heads and not enough time in our hearts (bodies).

Take yourself out to dinner. Run yourself a bubble bath and get yourself your own favorite treat. Spend time physically soothing and pampering yourself.

Do this for yourself. Be kind and compassionate in your mind when you need support and the universe will respond accordingly. If you are critical of yourself and others, you will find the world to be a very critical place. Begin finding beauty in everyone and everything you see and that too will be reflected in your world.

Taking the time to appreciate what you currently have while daydreaming about what you want and visualizing things that please you will yield profound results.

Rather than chocolate or flowers this Valentine’s day, give yourself the gift that will change your life. Be your own best friend. If you need help get it. Let life be easy. Learn to support and uplift yourself and you will be amazed at what happens in your world. I’m here to help.

Free Live Webcast: Everyday Consciousness

Google Plus Live Webcast with Roxanne DarlingPlease join me this Friday for a free, live webcast to talk about taming those voices we all have in our heads! It is one of the fastest ways to make things happen in your life that you actually want.

One of the things I am in the midst of this year is writing a book. I am trying out a lot of my ideas here on the blog. I am also creating live conversations so I can engage with you on a regular basis. I am one of those people who actually gets new ideas by interacting with others. Of course I also learn more about my ideas by seeing how easily (or not!) they land in other people’s hearts and minds.

My inaugural chat is this Friday, January 11th, at 10 am HST. You can check your time zone here. I will be hosting it in a “Google Hangout” on the Google + network and live-streaming it to my YouTube channel. This will be a learning experience for all of us, so I thank you in advance for your patience and curiosity. I will be sending a reminder to everyone on my email list with the links shortly before we begin. Please join the email list if you want to receive the notification or want to add a question or comment.

Meanwhile, if you use G+, please circle me there! Otherwise look for our free live webcast this Friday here on my YouTube page.
