Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflections

Reflections. Great for our Weekly Photo Challenge and an excellent reminder for life as well.

Reflections of the Blanco River

Reflections of the Blanco River

Walking around 5 Mile Dam is always a pleasure. I love living near water and have appreciated fully the beauty of this spot for the past ten years.

On this trip, I loved the reflection the large rocks on the opposite river bank created.

Looking at the picture I began to see things we might not always notice at first glance.

What if we turned and looked at it from all directions?

What will you see?

Reflections5Mile_WebCCW90 Reflections5Mile_WebCW90 Reflections5Mile_WebUSD

I see hearts, faces, arms, hair, mouths and hands. I see arms reaching out to receive and I see arms reaching up in joyous exaltation.

How can we take this approach in our lives?

What will you notice when you look at your life from different perspectives?

Will you notice that what you may be feeling about a recent particular situation is actually a reaction to an old circumstance?

Do you realize our lives are just a reflection of our inner conversations?

Big change is only a reflection away.

Much Love,
Crystal

After taking this first shot, I noticed him there calling out to me…

It seemed the soul of the fallen tree was calling out to be noticed.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Horizon

Clouds

Just up the road to the river…

That beautiful sky was our view driving up to our favorite spot on the Guadalupe river.

Heaven is a place on earth.

Heaven is a place on earth.

Heading home we were treated to a magnificent rain storm and a full double rainbow.

Note: If you’ve seen the youtube video of the guy filming the double rainbow you get somewhat of an idea how I was reacting. It was amazingly beautiful and I was beside myself. I have no shame.

OMG. It's a FULL Double Rainbow!!

OMG. It’s a FULL Double Rainbow!!

Rainbow Horizon

The rain slowed so I could roll the window down.

Full Rainbow Horizon

I could see the whole rainbow, end to end.

These shots were taken with my cell phone from the car with me turned completely around in the passengers seat.

It was a beautiful site to behold and I am so happy I witnessed it and now get to share it with you.
