Listen To Yourself

2 little frogs sitting on a cantaloupe

The next time you’re having a conversation with someone in your own head, listen to yourself.

What are you mad about? What is the complaint? What did they do? What didn’t they do? What should they have done?

What are the general theme of these thoughts? Make a note of this, the story is less important.

Is it a recurring theme in your life?

Do these complaints revolve around the same type of situation? You get no respect, no one loves you, you’re always left holding the bag, you have to handle it, etc…

Someone not doing what they’re supposed to do? Someone not holding up their end of the bargain?

Are you not doing what you’re supposed to do? Are you not holding up your end of the bargain or relationship?

Now, where do you feel the sensation those questions, and the emotions they bring up, physically in your body?

Conscious Activity

I was cleaning up from some demo work we’re doing in the back yard. We’re taking down the roof of our shed that’s plywood, tar paper and 2 layers of shingles. And more nails than you can shake a stick at.

When we started I intended to catch as many nails as I could and be able to easily pick up any we might have missed.

As I was doing more clean up this morning sweeping and picking up trash, my eye was quickly and easily drawn to several nails in obscure areas.

It immediately caused me to think of WHY it happened so easily and what came to me was this…

My intention to be in peace and harmony (not stepping on a nail) and my intention for others enjoying my space to be in peace and harmony (also not stepping on a nail) caused me to vibrate at a frequency that, along with my participation in the expectation and conscious awareness of what I’m looking for, allowed my eyes to SEE what I was looking for. In this instance, rogue nails.

So, there can always be a reason and need to be focused in a way that’s opening the space for and empowering peace and harmony (pre-emptively clearing the nails), rather than projecting fear, defense and protection (creating the problem and then scaring folks into your solutions… look up The Hegelian Dialectic).

That would be like purposefully NOT picking up the nails and then telling someone walking barefoot in my yard, “Watch out! You’ll probably step on a rusty old nail and get tetanus for SURE!! Have fun!”

Or to bring it straight home… It’s exactly like our news media not reminding folks how to support their own immunity and providing easy steps to take that would head off illness immediately. But instead, what the news media and the pamphlet from the covid test (the PCR test was created without a sample of the actual covid virus, so it was never a true representation of who had what) DID say, was to go home and take cold medicine until you can’t breathe, then go to the Emergency Room. GREAT IDEA! Said NO ONE. EVER. WTF?

Fake test + false data + fear pushed by the media = covid.

Does this feel at all familiar to anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Can you feel the difference in those vibrations? Conscious preparation for peace and harmony or fear pushed for reasons of control.

Once you become aware, you can easily, with no fight or struggle, choose whichever you like.

When I think of what we’re seeing these days with the unconstitutional push to vaccinate everyone, even against a person’s free will, for a virus that has a 99% survivability rate, I see clearly the desperate grasp for control. I’ll say it again for those of you in the cheap seats… this virus has a 99%+ survival rate. That’s what science says.

Our military, law enforcement and healthcare workers being our first line of national defense should be 100% in control of their own health care decisions. This will not stand. Last time I checked we still lived in the United States of America.

The Simple Solution

So, how do we get around this crap? Move every bit of energy you have around every subject that comes up.

What are the conversations you keep having in your head? Who keeps doing what to you?

Be honest with yourself about what keeps you up at night. Acknowledge it in the day time. Say it out loud to yourself. Bring it into the light. Breathe deeply, be willing to soften around the worrisome thoughts or ideas and let them go. Solutions abound and readily present themselves when we shine light into those dark places.

Find the physical place in your body that feels the most uncomfortable when you’re thinking about whatever upsets you. Now, stop thinking and just be with that sensation in your body. Relax and breathe. Let the feeling pass. Support yourself mentally. Bless my heart. This too shall pass. I love you so much.

Do this every time you have an uncomfortable thought or feeling. Stop thinking. Put your brain aside and tell it you’ll think about it in a minute. Feel what you feel without thinking about why. Be your own best friend and kindest cheerleader. Speak to yourself as you’d have your child speak to themselves.

Are you getting the picture here? How’s it working for you?

If it’s not, get support. I’m here to help. Email me to schedule a session.

It’s very simple. But in the beginning it can be less than easy.

But, it CAN be easy and it will get easier with practice.

So, listen to yourself.

What are you thinking?

Control: Who Has It & How To Take It

You Are Free To Be Happy

Happy 4th of July! Independence Day for us here in the United States.

in·de·pend·ence
[in-di-pen-duhns] noun

1. Freedom from the control, influence, support, aid, or the like, of others.

While we in America enjoy many freedoms, we don’t always realize how free we actually are.

Even people who live in nations with far less freedom than we, have the same capabilities to experience a kind of freedom that isn’t given or allowed, but taken.

Many don’t realize how much control they have over their own lives.

Yes, even you have complete control over your life and all that swirls around in it.

What’s that? You don’t feel like you’re in control? You feel like you’re at the mercy of your boss, government, family obligations, money limitations or health issues? It’s OK. Many do feel this way, until they realize that isn’t actually the case.

Our focus, energy and vibration control our reality.

What we focus on expands and we get what we generally expect.

Governments, religions, teachers and parents all create rules for us to abide by, but only you control your thoughts.

You think thoughts all day long that no one else knows about or has any control over.

YOU are in control.

It may not feel that way if you have a busy or racing mind, constantly running between what’s wrong, what’s not done and what’s still left to do.

If this is the case for you, I want to acknowledge you. Bless all of our hearts.

Our minds are negatively focused, and will be until you take the steps to begin to turn it around.

You have that power and that control. You just have to exercise it.

I heard someone say the other day, “that’s just the way I am.” I hear ya. I have said that many times myself.

But, it doesn’t have to be the way you are. You can change. Everyone can.

The things I used to say “that’s just the way I am” about were generally things I wasn’t proud of and that didn’t bring me joy or make me a good and happy person. For instance, being impatient, judgmental, superior/self righteous or holding grudges for years longer than necessary.

We’ve all felt these things. We’re human.

Welcome to the human race!

But, the beautiful part of being human is that we’re in control.

We are where we are evolutionarily speaking because of our ability to change our minds. To think of and see things from another perspective.

The best way to change a negative perspective is to release the stressful energy that’s causing it.

Notice when you’re feeling bad or mad, where you feel the physical sensation of the emotion in your body.

Set aside your very good reason for being so upset, resentful or afraid and let yourself be with what you’re feeling physically in your body.

That physical sensation in your stomach, back, knee, chest/heart, throat or jaw is what keeps those old emotions present in your body and mind.

But, if you can stop telling yourself that old worn out story that keeps bringing the anger and resentment back up you’ll have an easier time releasing it.

It’s actually not difficult at all.

It’s a very simple process that works every time to help you to relax and release the ever present stress you feel in your body.

And, what’s better than that?

When you release the stress, the situation changes.

You find you’re not so angry, upset or worried anymore and then you suddenly realize or see another view point that was previously unavailable to you.

The person, situation or just the thing you needed shows up in perfect time.

But, if what you want doesn’t happen immediately, don’t get discouraged.

Learning to exercise control over our own lives and emotions will take some practice. After all you had to crawl before you could walk, right? Anything worth doing takes a bit of your time and effort. Specially if it will change your whole life, don’t you think?

“We’ve had a great first half. Now, what’s important is who’s gonna handle their emotions.”
~Gregg Popovich
Coach of San Antonio Spurs, 2014 NBA Champions

Who’s gonna handle their emotions?

This is the cornerstone of control… In your daily interactions and in your life.

And how do you control your emotions? By moving the stress energy physically in your body when it comes up.

At first you might have to walk away or stop and count to ten or breathe ten deep breaths, do that. It’s always worth it.

The person who control’s their emotions, is in control. Always.

Notice the next time you see someone throwing a fit or acting out of anger. Recognize how out of control they are. In the midst of this you can breathe through any upset and have a calming and centering effect on the situation.

So, if you want more control over your life, begin to control the small things you can control.

Firstly, your thoughts and emotions. As you practice and get better and better at it, you’ll notice a huge shift in the world around you. Possibilities and opportunities present themselves and things you’ve been concerned about will begin to take care of themselves.

Sending you much soothing, peace, ease and flow on this day of our great nations independence.

Now get out there and control yourself!! 😉

Love and blessings for a safe and happy week-end,
Crystal

What’s Right?

Spring Lake, San Marcos TX

What if we spent more time asking each other, “What’s right?”

What if we began looking at every situation in our lives and asking ourselves a question that would serve us rather than bring us more problems?

I know, when someone walks into the room looking upset, gloomy or mad our curiosity gets the best of us. That part of us that cranes our neck to see the horrific accident or unfolding tragedy needs to know what’s wrong. Just tell me what’s wrong and I can relax. Not.

It truly is human nature. What’s wrong? Tell me what’s wrong. What’s wrong with me, with you, with this situation, with our government, our schools, our parents, our kids. Let’s get to the bottom of this! Let’s find out what caused this trouble so we can all point at it and shake our heads in righteous indignation. Oh that is SO WRONG.

I understand. I really do. I’m human too. I understand fear. I understand anxiety. I understand heartache. I understand loss. I understand uncertainty and pain. We all do. We’re not alone. We are all living exactly the same and completely different human experiences.

What can we do to help ourselves through these difficult emotions and times in our lives? How can we better support ourselves in the moment?  (And what would it take for us to want to figure out what creates these scenarios and situations over and over?)

What if we ask ourselves “What’s right about this situation?”

I know. I know. That’s a big, huge, enormous question in the midst of all that’s wrong. But, what if asking what’s right gave you a different perspective?

What if asking what’s right helped you to see what is right about this seeming tragedy in front of you?

Give it a shot. What have you got to lose? You’ve already been asking what’s wrong all this long time. How’s that working out for you? Asking “what’s wrong” has been and always will be lining you up vibrationally with more and more things you find wrong.

Decide now to begin asking “What’s right?”

I know that in the middle of confusion and upset asking what’s right about the situation feels weird, but go with it. Notice where the energy comes up in your body and feel through it. Relax and soothe yourself with such tenderness and love.

What harm could come from it? A positive perspective? You actually feeling better?

You might discover that you’re holding on to an old belief about yourself or others that’s creating this irritation or problem. Maybe you’re so focused on the problem that you’re totally missing the blessing that is your release from a dead-end job or relationship that was keeping you from having the money, love or support you deserve.

I remember thinking years back that I was ready for a new car. I loved my other car but some things were going wonky and I couldn’t seem to find a way to get them fixed. Not long after, on a 6am drive with my son to his high school for morning practice, were were rear-ended. It totaled the car. After my moment (about an hour or maybe half a day?) I realized I had been wanting a new car but wasn’t taking the steps to make it happen. I didn’t think I could afford it.

The universe showed me I could. I got another car, new to me and much better. I love my car so much. It feels so good to drive it. I enjoy just thinking about it.

In the moment, though, I was not pleased. Not pleased. Quite irritated and upset even. My son was driving. I was angry at the driver, angry it was six o’clock in the morning, angry my iced tea got poured into my lap. As soon as I jumped out of the passenger seat to see who had done this, I saw the culprit. A woman with two small children in her car and another vehicle behind her with two more small children. My initial anger dissipated into frustration and some compassion. Bless their hearts. We’re all up early shuttling our kids around. It was rainy and shit happens.

After all was said and done I sat in the drivers seat of my new car and laughed. This is what was right about that situation. I wanted a new car, needed one, but wasn’t taking the steps to make that happen. The universe gave me a little nudge.

What are you being nudged to do?

Think back over your life and recognize how many things have happened you first judged as bad that actually turned out better than you ever expected.

Now, look at a current struggle, take a deep breath and ask yourself “What’s right?”

There’s a perspective in every situation that serves you, but you have to be looking for it to find it. I am seeing you seeing it.

Sending all my love and support,

XOXO
Crystal

Age is an Attitude

Check out my latest article on VibrantLikeMe.com. Sandra Walsh is an amazingly vibrant woman doing her part to share the latest health research and empowered lifestyle information to a community of thoughtful, open and engaged women. Check out her site and begin celebrating your vibrant life!

Age is an Attitude

My grandmother loves to tell anyone who will listen how terrible it is to grow old. She believes she is old, so she feels old. I can only soothe my Grandmother and make her laugh, but I know something that she was never told.

Let me share a powerful, life altering fact with all you vibrant women out there – Age is an Attitude! We’re only as old as we think we are, and our thoughts are the energy that creates our attitude.

As you can see from person to person, we all age at different rates and with different areas of struggle and ease. Many people like to attribute our aging to genetics and our family medical history. And while, yes, these things can be contributing factors, much more powerful and completely within your control is your attitude.

Having a sunny disposition isn’t always easy, but is always worth the effort. We may feel frustrated or irritated with a current situation or nagging condition but when we learn what fuels these feelings, shifting the circumstance becomes child’s play.

Our powerful energy

Success or failure in money, love, relationships, health and happiness begins and ends with the energy we carry around in our bodies.

Energy is behind all circumstances in our lives.

As children we pick up this energy from our parents and society around us. We learn to say, do and focus the way our parents and other influential adults did. As we grow up our discernment is heightened and developed to allow us to make different decisions and recognize more clearly what feels good to us.

It may take some of us longer to know what feels good for us; as women we have historically been “taught” to spend our time and energy caring for and worrying over others. When our parents, children and spouses take center stage in our lives we can completely lose touch with who we may be outside of our relationships with them.

Taking the time to cultivate an awareness of what feels good to us and what we want to do is paramount to our living a “young” and happy life.

Focus on you

Appreciate your deep capacity to love and care for others and then turn that powerful focus on yourself. Begin to notice your thoughts.

Are you soothing and uplifting yourself in your mind or are you beating yourself up for not being, doing or having more?
What ways are you already supporting the healthy happy life you want? In what ways could you be better?
What baby steps could you take to move yourself closer to the kind of self-care that will actually support you in thriving rather than just surviving?

Here are a few suggestions:

Watch what you think. Of course, what you ingest (food, media, conversations, etc.) makes a difference, but even more important is how you feel about what you’re doing. What are your thoughts telling you? Do you feel like life is working out for you or are you on a hamster wheel of negativity? These thoughts will lend great insight into whether what you are currently doing is working or not.

Find the feeling. When you are upset, nervous, sad, worried or frustrated take a moment to locate that feeling physically in your body. Is it in your stomach, chest, heart or throat? This is the energy behind the situation. Relax and give your brain a rest for a moment, tell it you’ll think about the problems later. Give yourself a moment to breathe and feel through the physical sensations of your upset. As the feeling passes you’ll have access to more productive thoughts.

Self Soothe. Our minds are always focused on what’s wrong. Once you’re able to fully recognize and acknowledge this you can stop worrying about all the things you think are wrong. Just like you don’t get mad at the mailman for delivering mail, you can stop fretting over the barrage of thoughts you are confronted with daily. You can change your focus by relaxing, breathing and moving through difficult moments and emotions throughout your day. Tell yourself, “It’s OK. Everything is always working out for me. Bless my heart this feeling is intense. I’m OK. It’s all OK.”

Meditate daily. Ideally 20 minutes twice a day, morning and evening. Let that be something you work up to if it feels too daunting or overwhelming. Start out with 5 or even 3 minutes to get yourself started. Remember you’re not doing it wrong if you have thoughts while meditating. You’ll get to the point that your thoughts slow down greatly, but in the beginning, just being aware of the tone and direction of your thoughts will help.

As you begin supporting yourself in this way you will notice yourself being drawn to food, people, supplements, make-up lines and products that you feel good about. You will notice yourself feeling better about yourself and celebrating with gratitude the gifts in your daily life.

Take some time for yourself every day – no one else can do it for you!

Remember This

The Daily Prompt – Powerful Suggestion

“What’s the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you a year (or five, or ten…) ago?”

I thought a lot about this question as I stood before the group of middle school kids. What did I need to know at this age? What did I wish someone would have told me? How can I make the biggest difference in their lives in the short time I have in front of them? What is the most important thing for us to always remember?

You are a vibrational being.

Energy and emotions are supposed to flow through you, not stick around forever. They will only stay with you if you talk about, blog about or share them repeatedly.

You are not your thoughts. Your brain is evolutionarily wired to focus on what’s wrong.
No worries, you can change that.

Your mind will hold onto hurts and failures much longer than your successes.
You can change that, too. Cultivate an awareness of your thoughts and
consciously choose to support yourself mentally.
Practice helps.

Your mind is a powerful focusing tool and you will always get
what you spend the most time focusing on. Success or failure.
There will be no wondering “what went wrong,” your focus brought it about.

Science has proven we are vibrational beings.
Western medicine and surgery is not the only way to heal.
Anything only works because we believe it does.
Modern medicine is like using an old Remington typewriter when you’ve got a brand new, lightning fast Mac to work on.
Energy medicine is the cutting edge technology.

You can actually feel the energy behind your emotions physically in your body
and release it to shift a current situation.
When you allow the energy to move, everything changes.

What you feel is more important than what you think.
When you quiet your mind and tune into your body, you get all the answers you need.
Yes, you can do this. Everyone can.

Aligning your energy with what you want
is more powerful than any physical effort you can exert.

Moving forward or acting out of fear or anger will only create
another situation that makes you feel afraid or angry.
Move the energy and everything changes.
It’s all energy and it’s all moving.

Grown ups don’t always handle situations in the best way.
We learn what we learn from whom we learn it. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not.
Take the good and leave the rest.

Beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking, over and over and over.
They aren’t always true.
Many of them don’t serve you.

If someone is trying to scare you, they are manipulating you.
Sometimes they mean to, sometimes they’re just scared.

There is no such thing as death.
We are energy.
Energy cannot be created nor destroyed.
It merely changes form.

Your passed loved ones are still around you, all day everyday, personality intact.
They are aware of you and your situation.
They love you and are offering you support and guidance in every moment.
When you tune into that, you can hear, feel, sense, or know whatever you need to know.
Yes, you can do this too. Even you.

There’s nothing to be scared of.
You carry your safety with you.
When you learn to move energy before you take action
you never have to worry about your security.

Be your own biggest cheerleader.
Be so kind and supportive of yourself in the quiet of your own mind.
Sure you want friends and loved ones,
but you can’t get all of your soothing and acceptance from them.
The way you treat yourself in your mind is the way the world will treat you.

I love you.
So many people love you.
The Universe/God/Source Energy/All That Is, loves you.
You’ve been placed on a perfect planet that supports your every need.
Your source loves you so much that you breathe in and out
and your heart beats everyday of your life without you having to think about it.

What more evidence do you need?
Ask me, I’ll give it to you.

My talk with the middle school kids didn’t go exactly like this. I kept it more on the scientific side. I wanted to help them understand on a basic level what their physical body and mind is doing when they find themselves nervous, scared or upset.

Faced with a big, important test, criticism from peers and family or not fitting in can feel terrible in the moment.

But when you know your automatic responses are just that, automatic, you can relax and give yourself the opportunity to feel better and find the perspective that serves you.

You’re never stuck. There is always a solution. And it’s always easier than you think.

I love you so much,
Crystal

Don’t Worry, Just Be

Relaxing on the river

Relaxing on the river

“Singin’ don’t worry, about a thing, cause every little thing, is gonna be alright.”

“Three Little Birds” – Bob Marley

It really is.

Don’t worry, everything is always working out for you. That difficult task in front of you. The solution you need but don’t know about. It’s already been done. Someone has already figured it out and knows how to do it. The research has been done and findings published. Easier ways have been discovered and created. Plans have been shared and tweaked to perfectly fit any situation.

It’s that easy. All the information we need is readily available, we just have to know how to find it.

And finding it is much easier than looking for a needle in a haystack. You actually don’t have to build any bridges or tear down any walls to get to it. And you don’t have to travel to far away places to find it. You don’t need airfare, a doctors note, your parents or spouses permission. It’s all right here, you just have to relax.

Our health can be recovered. Our finances can bounce back. Our family can once again(or for the first time) come together in harmony. Our every need can be fulfilled in any moment when we are willing to give up our struggle against and begin looking for what we want.

Everything we require or desire is available to us. If you didn’t already know this… just Google it.

My mom was staying with my son when we were out of town and he was attending a dressy function that required a tie. As I’m the one that always tied his ties, he ask his Grammie for help. She didn’t know how to tie it either, so, what to do?

That’s right, he Googled it.

“How to tie a Windsor knot” and Voilà! a long list of handy dandy videos and info-graphics explaining and giving a examples of how to do it. Done. That was easy! Next.

During the six years I helped run a very successful internet business I never had to reinvent the wheel. Every time a need or desire arose the first question was “how do we make this work?” and then I’d Google it and find more information than you could shake a stick at. Someone has done a review and given you a short list of the top software, sites, tutorials, videos, cameras, cars, web hosts, etc. If I couldn’t find it immediately, I’d say something like, “No worries! Won’t it be nice when I stumble across just the exact right thing we’re looking for?” And inevitably I’d find it.

Everything you need is out there. The answer to your prayer, the solution to your problem, the cure for your disease… all available and closer than you think.

The quickest way to finding what you need is to go within. Take a break from the whirlwind of your physical reality for a moment and just be. Take a few deep breaths now, in through your nose, filling your belly first and then your lungs, hold it for a couple seconds and release. Pull in your belly at the end to completely empty your lungs so you’re getting a full fresh breath every time. (Do that three to ten times whenever you need to relax and find a better perspective.)

Breathe and feel what you feel physically in your body. Listen to what kind of thoughts your mind is generating. Are they hopeful, helpful thoughts or are you singularly focused on the problem and how big and bad it is.

Your focus is creating your reality.

If there is something in your life you don’t like and don’t want, give yourself a moment to acknowledge the feelings of worry, fear, frustration and upset around the situation. Acknowledge your humanity and appreciate the fact that you are not the first person to deal with this issue and there are plenty of people who have made it through using a number of different approaches that you might not know about or understand.

For every question, there is an answer.

For every problem, there is a solution.

For every prescription drug, there is a natural remedy that that drug was derived from or created to replace.

There’s a shoe for every foot and an ass for every seat.

There are buyers for what you are selling that only want to buy from you. There is no competition, except in your mind.

There is nothing you can’t create or allow into your life if you know how the world works and are willing to work within it’s rules. (Your focus creates your reality. Have I said that before?)

For every problem, there IS a solution.

Nothing is impossible. It ain’t over till it’s over and if it isn’t over, you can find another way.

How do you find this way?

Stop reacting.

Let yourself be OK with however you feel right now. Accept your feelings as momentary, passing waves of emotion.

Emotion = Energy in Motion

Discover the power of poise. The next time you are struck by a powerful negative feeling or emotion allow yourself to relax and take three deep breaths. You’ll notice the intensity of the emotion begins to diminish in your body much more quickly than it does when you react out of fear, anger or frustration. As that feeling passes, clarity comes. Your deep emotion subsides and you are able to make better decisions and actually see the situation as the good information it is… a heads-up alert to what you’re creating.

Your emotions are a precise indicator of your focus and thoughts. Notice when you feel bad that you are focusing on lack, limitation, blame, anger, frustration, worry, irritation, etc. When you feel good you’re focused on and thinking about good things in your life, happy times, lovely family members, the great job you did, the many blessings you have or things that please you. This is quite simple and very easy for you to confirm and acknowledge to/for yourself.

I’ll give you a minute…

So you’ll now begin to recognize that what you are thinking about and focusing on, you are creating. Period. Bottom Line. End of Story. Therefore, whatever you are worrying about you are also creating.

But, don’t worry! We’re all human. We came by it honestly. It came by our birth into our families, communities and society that didn’t have the information we have now. They were raised thinking outside circumstances controlled their lives and that’s what we learned. But when you know better, you can do better.

Give yourself a break and practice focusing on your destination. Where do you want to go? What do you want to do? What experiences do you long for? Do you want to experience perfect health? Do you want to get married and have a baby? Do you want to be financially secure and free?

Think about what it is you most want to feel…  happy, loved and loving, satisfied, healthy, engaged, peaceful, excited, free, joyous and abundant? This is how you focus on the end result. The finish line. Not what you think it’s going to take to get you there. But, just being there.

Don’t worry about what it will take to make it happen, just do what’s right in front of you. When you put one foot in front of the other and take care of what you need to take care of, with your focus on the end result, the easier road with all it’s possibilities and solutions will present itself in the most delightful way.

I am holding the vision of your perfect health, happiness, vitality and abundance. It’s available to you in all moments. Relax and receive.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

All my love to you for a joyous and blessed holiday season,

Crystal

Results, damnit!

Love is all around if you're looking for it.

Love is all around if you’re looking for it.

Bless our human hearts. We all want results.

We want to see immediately the results of our actions. I’ve started a diet and want to see a lower number on the scale and a new rear-end in the mirror on the second day. Or we have gotten really out of balance and have a dis-ease or diagnosis that should be cleared up with one pill.

Well, again, bless our human hearts.

We are hard wired to want those results. We don’t necessarily want to do the work it would take to get those results, we just want the results. Although the “work” we truly need to do to get the results we want isn’t “work” at all.

Sometimes we like the exercise or workouts we do and some of us even like to eat healthy foods, but as a society we’ve given every ounce of our own personal power away to big pharma, doctors, politicians, banks and the media.

We aren’t really willing to go through a process of healing or transformation. We just want it right now. But your illness or dire situation didn’t happen over night, it may sometimes seem as though it did, but I assure you it didn’t. It started a while ago and built up little by little until it got so loud that you were diagnosed with cancer or your partner left you or you lost your job.

There were little warning signs all along the way that if you knew and were paying attention you could have listened to and made adjustments to create a totally different outcome. Learn how to navigate these signals and you’ll never be caught off guard again.

So, ok… I get it. You want results.  What is the one result you can always look for that will make everything better? And I do mean everything.

re·lief
noun: relief

~ a feeling of reassurance and relaxation following release from anxiety or distress.

Ahhhhh, sweet relief.

If the result you are looking for is relief, everything in your life changes. Relief isn’t complete and total resolution, relief is feeling just a little bit better than you were before.

If you stop looking for the whole enchilada right now and appreciate the relief from your busy mind or a slight bit of relief in your body if illness or some diagnosis is what you’re in search of then you’re on your way.

So many times when faced with an illness or terrible situation the only thing people want is immediate, complete healing or resolution and nothing else will do. When that’s your standard, you’re not leaving yourself much room for improvement. You’re also not giving yourself the opportunity to discover what put you on that path to begin with. But, if you let just feeling a little bit better be enough it begins to compound.

Beginning to recognize where this illness or situation came from is quite helpful. Noticing where you’ve been directing your thoughts and focus can give you great information on how you’ve gotten yourself into any situation.

I know some people might not want to hear they had anything to do with their illness or dire situation, but taking responsibility for your own life, health and happiness is the only way to control it. Otherwise, you’re at the mercy of the outside world and that just sucks.

So, how do I get relief when things are so terrible in my life right now?

Well, begin with breathing. Stop what you’re doing and take a few deep breaths. In through your nose, filling your belly first and then your chest, then breathe out, pulling in your stomach to empty out your lungs completely before the next deep cleansing breath.

While you’re breathing begin to soothe yourself in your mind. Say calming and comforting things to yourself, even if at first you don’t believe them to be true. “I’m OK. I’m OK. It’s all OK. This is all going to be alright. Everything is working out for me. Even if I can’t see it, I know that things are working out for me.”

Get outside in nature. Take a walk with your pet or borrow someones pet (ask them first! haha) to take for regular walks. Play music that makes you feel good and dance around. Light some candles and put on comfy clothes. What makes you feel good?

By taking the time to make yourself feel better physically you’re giving your mind a chance to follow. You know how hard it is to be positive when you feel bad physically. If your problem IS feeling bad physically you must begin to take notice of feeling just a tiny bit better. Baby steps make all the difference.

Once you begin to get the hang of it, you’re golden. With enough practice, you’ll begin to believe what you’re saying and feel it to be true. You’ll also begin to hear the crazy shit your mind is telling you as crazy shit and won’t be so frightened by it.

You’ll notice how when you calm and soothe yourself, you don’t stay upset for so long, you have better ideas, your illness begins to respond to the treatment, you have more fun with your children, partner or spouse and life in general just gets better and better.

This is all so very simple, but not always easy. If you need support on your journey, I am here to assist and guide you.

You can do it. You know what your heart needs to hear. Say those things and begin cultivating a relationship with yourself based on soothing and support. Life really is good and fun and all you need to do to experience more of that is look for and give yourself relief.

Here’s to you finding it.

My love to you,

Crystal

Easy Does It

Let life be easy.

Let life be easy.

Does life run pretty smoothly or are you always asking yourself, “Why do I have to struggle and fight for everything I have!?”

I spent quite a few years of my own life asking that question. Along with… “Why can’t things be easier for me?”

Fortunately, asking myself those questions helped move me toward an easier life.

After reading Florence Scovel Shinn’s books in my early twenties, I knew what she said was true. We really are guiding our own lives with our words, thoughts and deeds.

It’s interesting, isn’t it, that we hold struggle in such high regard? Have you noticed?

If someone tells you something was easy for them do you immediately think, “well, so what?” or “Of course it was easy for you, everything is easy for you. Jerk” If it was easy, we don’t want or need to hear about it. Tell me what you struggled with and how much crap you had to take and dish-out and wrestle through to get somewhere and I’ll listen. And then I’ll engage you with my stories of struggle and hardship because that is what makes me worthy… my struggle.

Well, I’m here to share a little secret with you.

Life is supposed to be easy.

I know. I know. Some part of your body jumped up and said, “HEY!!! You’re wrong. No fair. I’m struggling and don’t know how not to so you better be struggling too.”

Have you noticed how some people don’t want to hear about or talk to happy people? They’d rather commiserate and complain with you than hear about your triumphs, particularly if your wins came easily without a heavy price. We all want to experience that ease but often feel angry or irritated that it’s out of our reach when someone else demonstrates it.

If you share too much of your easy and happy life you’ll notice some folks around you grumbling, perhaps rolling their eyes at you and mouthing smart ass comments. Bless them, though. Don’t be mad. They don’t even realize what they’re doing.

Bringing more awareness into our lives is the key to letting things be easier. Just notice when you get frustrated hearing about your friends recent engagement, raise or job opportunity.  Don’t be mad at them for having the success OR upset with yourself for feeling less than enthusiastic. Realize you’re just doing what a huge portion of society is doing and let it go. When you begin to be aware of these feelings and physical sensations you can allow them to shift and change the way your own life works.

The problem was this… We’ve been lead to believe that the glory is in the struggle. And for a while, because life was so much more difficult for our parents and grandparents, it was necessary to find and appreciate the glory in the struggle. That was all we knew and making the best of a bad situation was the best we could do.

But, times have changed and our understanding of how the world actually works has changed. We can no longer(though most do) view the world through Newton’s Principia (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy, originally published in 1687).

Classic Newtonian physics posits that everything is deterministic, but quantum physics has proven that nothing is.

Everything is changing, always. And most importantly it’s changing (or not) due to your observation, thoughts and words.

So… Easy does it.

If you don’t understand all of this quantum physics no worries. Just think about the last time you got a new car and then saw them everywhere on the road. I once rented a vehicle that I was unfamiliar with (can’t even remember now what it was… small SUV, H something or other) and the moment I drove away from the car rental place, I saw them everywhere.

Read Pam Grout’s book E-Squared to learn more about how your thoughts create your reality.

When you recognize the truth in all of this and need guidance on how to allow your life to be what you’ve always wanted, I am here for you. Beside focusing on what you want and using your thoughts to move you closer to that, I teach you how to find and feel the energy in your body that allows life to shift quickly and easily.

You’re In Control

Bus in de schemering

You’re driving this bus, so drive it!

By the way, this bus… is your LIFE.

If you need to slow down, slow the hell down. If you need to make a turn, put on your turn signal and check your rear view mirrors.

Stop complaining about what’s wrong. Stop telling everyone the bad news. Stop spouting and sharing statistics that don’t support and uplift people. Find something good and appreciate it.

What do you want?

What area’s of your life would you like more control?

What parts of your world would you like to see changed?

Don’t know? Well think about it.

Oh, you do know? Great. Pick your whole self up and proceed in that direction.

Instead of walking around kicking the dirt acting like you just get what this mean ol’ world gives you, stand up and start moving yourself in the direction you want to go.

No one has control over you.

You get what you focus on whether you want it or not, so start noticing what you are giving your focused attention to.

Need help figuring it all out? That’s why I’m here.

Life is much easier than most of us allow it to be. (We do so love to hear ourselves bitch.)

There’s an easy way around that. I’m here to help.

Take the wheel folks. You’re already driving. Don’t you want to get better at getting what you want?

I’ve got the directions to Easy Street.

I’ll be here when you’re ready.

All my love,
Crystal

PS… Thanks for the great photo Gerard!

Focus Forward

ThroughTheTrees - San Marcos River

As you give thought to your future—your future that may be 10 years; your future that may be 5 years; or your future that is 60 days away—you literally begin pre-paving. And then, as you move into those pre-paved moments, and as that future becomes your present, you fine-tune it by saying, This, is what I now want. And all of those thoughts that you have put forth about your future, right down to this moment when you are now intending what action you want to take, will all fit together to bring you precisely that which you now want to live.

— Abraham
Excerpted from the book “The Law of Attraction, The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham”

I absolutely loved this Abraham quote. When we are in difficult situations or faced with ugly truths we tend to focus on the right now circumstances of our lives. Which, in moments of joy and happiness is great, but when things don’t look the way you want them to, can be painful to bear. In these hard times, the only thing to do is focus forward.

Think about how good it will feel just a few days, weeks or months from now when everything is as you’d like it to be.

Plan on it, say to yourself and everyone you know and love, “No worries, it’s all coming.” And then start imagining what it will look like when it gets here. Don’t allow yourself to stay focused on what you don’t want. Take a deep breath, relax and know it will work out. It can be hard for us to believe that our minds don’t always have the right answers and that sometimes(most times) until you are consciously focusing on what you want, it actually makes things worse.

Your focus on how you want it to be is the most important thing you can do
to bring about the results you want.

Give yourself the chance to create what you want instead of repeating old scenarios again and again. Let the last time be the last time and move on. No worries. No big deal. That’s how we previously did things, but we’re doing this now.

We think over 70,000 thoughts per day and the majority of those thoughts are the same as yesterday. Focusing forward moves yourself closer to what you actually do want.

When you allow what’s wrong to just flow by you(through your life experience) without fanfare, it doesn’t stick around. The situation will pass and you will be more aware of what you’d prefer to happen next time.

But, when we shout about it, fight about it, blog about it, Facebook it, Tweet it, think about it and discuss it with multiple friends and family members, it can’t help but repeat itself. And then you get to say, “See, I told you so. I knew this was going to happen. This always happens.”

But is that what you really want? No, it’s not. You may think it makes you feel better to “vent”, but you’re only hurting yourself(and the person that has to listen to it). Give yourself 5 minutes with one person to bitch about whatever you need to bitch about and then be done with it.

You want peace, ease, wellness, happiness, relief, health, harmony, joy, excitement, abundance, satisfaction, fulfillment… am I on the right track? Thought so.

Don’t ask why or what else could go wrong? Why only gets you more wrapped up in the trouble at hand and what else is creatively asking for more of what you don’t want.

If you want something different to happen in your world, you’ve got to begin to think differently. Allow yourself to feel through whatever comes up in your moment of upset, but begin to change the way you think about problems… Interesting situation. I wonder how this is going to work out in my favor? Forget that problems even exist. Forget them. Think about the solutions.

Focus forward with these questions. Don’t try to answer them. Just ask and let the universe deliver.

  • What is my true hearts desire?
  • How will it feel when I’ve gotten what I wanted?
  • How can it be easier?
  • Who could help?
  • How can I allow myself to allow more help?
  • How good will I feel when I’ve allowed the easiest solution?
  • How much easier will my life be when I think only in terms of solutions?
  • How fun and exciting will it be when I no longer see life’s problems as problems?

Now, just start making a note of everything that is working out for you. Make a list of things you want and start watching for them to show up.

Keep living your life and doing what you need to do, just notice when coincidences happen or synchronicities show up. Take them as cues that you’re on the right track and let it encourage you to keep your focus on the end result.

If you need help letting go of some old scenarios(heartache/heartbreak/anger/guilt/shame/resentment), I’m here to help. Don’t let your past steal your joyous now. Let that go and live your life.

Life is good and fun and it’s supposed to be easy. We’ve been brainwashed into thinking that struggle is honorable. While those who struggled before us certainly deserve their honor, we don’t have to struggle any more.

Life is easier than we let it be. I can help you let it be easy.

Much Love to you,
Crystal
